Would be cool to see the fern. Pretty please?

I will definitely need one skull pack. Possibly more depending on how few human skulls are in there.

I don't think Daemons even have bones, they are pure energy, but, they look pretty cool so I don't mind.
Can be that giant skull a little "spoiler" of a future miniature?

Tau, Kroot, Genestealers, Orks... well, that's some variety. I hope the price tag is acceptable.

What a fantastic army idea. Love it!

Thanks. I guess it started with an old post from unheilig on Warseer (The realm of battle board revealed the true secret... the warhammer world has a geological layer of skulls. Skulls are a natural and renewable resource there.). First I laughed but then I looked at the conveyor belt of my new Hades (count-as Mechanicus back then) and... put skulls on it. And later my second army returned... as a Mining Corporation. So they became competitors in this profit-yielding business. Not the whole armies have this theme and sure, it's sort of ludicrous. But hey, it's 40k.

There is one thing I would not look forward to with all these little skulls: cleaning all the mold lines on such fiddly little bits.

Looks like a Varghulf or some such.

I'm also really curious about the mystery monster in the middle.

They're getting better...the Reivers had very little in the way of mold lines on the foregrips of the Boltcarbines.

The skulls are glorious!

On Daemon skulls - they're all sorts of awesome for daemon world terrain. And maybe daemons that possess mortal hosts have skulls, while daemons manifesting directly from the warp might not. Or, you know, daemons... Maybe there are no hard-and-fast rules

It's always just depended on the specific mould. I've had Tactical Marines that were nearly flawless, and others (presumably from a different , not-as-well-alligned mould) that had massive slippage.

The center skull might be for some new drewcari/dark eldar beast. Or a shadow elf monster since GW likes to interchange ascetics from AoS and 40k together.

Almost identical to the skull on the Venom:

Why 'unknown'? The skull on the Venom belongs to a young Clawed Fiend. And as both skulls are indeed identical except the size...

The skull set certainly looks amazing, l'll post a pic in a sec from the WD, there seems to be a load of different ones.

The Slaughterpriest shown is standing on a big Tyranid? skull which wouldn't make sense since its AoS so maybe its a big beast, surrounded by a mound of different skulls including horned and what is either an ogor or orruk skull.

It's funny that you think AOS won't get somehow made compatible with 40K...

And it's also telling that the AOS aesthetic is to the point that Tyranid skulls don't look out of place.

Oh my god I love the skull ones. Not so fond of the vines right now as I can't see any of my themes needing them.

Are there any nids skulls there?

In the inferior left corner you can see a Tyranid head, with a little... thing in the forehead. Theres others with that thing that I assume are Tyranids.

Apparently yes. Here's hoping that all the skull variety of the pic is in there.

Don't know how this double post happened.

As much as it is a cliche to make fun of GW for their weird skull fetish, this set actually looks pretty skull.

I mean pretty cool.

That's what always bothered me about Grey Knights holding bits of Daemons. Shouldn't they melt away back into the Warp?

From what I understand Daemons can actually manifest as flesh and bone in realspace, but dematerealise upon "death", so in any case I don't think there would be remains.

Kinda like with Necrons phasing out, except there are ways to prevent that...

Kroot skull is not new. It can be found in Dark Eldar Raider trophy rack. Daemon skulls are not new either, both Bloodletter and Plaguebearer skulls can be found in Ironjawz kits (with different horn configurations). Giant Bat skull is from Morghast Harbringers. The large skulls appear to be new though.

I am a sucker for skulls and anything basing related. I am going to buy these in ridiculous quantities.
