No. I like buff women. I can't put my finger to it. I want to like them and I'm trying to convince myself that it's the paint job or maybe the picture is too big and zoomed in so that it doesn't look like the 32mm model that it is, but I can't help but think it's the model itself.

Not we. Just GW .

Anyway, I'm sure there'll be a lot of converting when the models get released, even if the promo pics don't feature any. Probably there'll even be some converting shown in the WD's afterwards.

Seriously?

GW have featured conversions Shadespire models within about five minutes of its launch. This game isn't even out yet... why would they show conversions???

I feel some people have unrealistic expectations of GW.

Those bases look sculpted (rather than custom) - and I don't recognise them from any of the current kits... I wonder if a new set of scenic bases will be released as well... That would be sweet (and yet another thing to add to the rapidly growing wish list)

It's become the latest hill certain anti-gw people have decided to fight on. Because the DG was a mono-pose release, it is 100% proof GW is completely abandoning conversions. Why it has been 4 full days since they posted a conversion article. Clearly abandoned.

Personally I'm a fan of Day of Dead faces, so the 4th one pushes my buttons

There will be new plastic bases, but only round 25mm and 32mm for a start, so not the whole size range. This was 'confirmed' by FW/GW when they announced the new game at the Open Day. The quote is somewhere in this thread.

I don't think their upper torsos match their stomachs. In the artwork they look fairly 'athletic'* but the models have athletic upper body...and kind of average middles and thick set legs. It looks odd.

It could be the paint jobs or shot angle, as you say

*I am aware that there are all sorts of body shapes in the world of athletics.

Those are some great looking models. Definitely going to have to get into this game. I do hope they introduce the other gangs, though! Also looks like that Escher with the dual pistols is the wielder of the gun from the rumor engine back in July.

Well you see they released a BUNCH of owls to deal with the skaven infestation

but in the end the owls are now pests.

Possibly from some sump-spawned mutant they just killed. Or the market. Probably so rare it's a status symbol.

Now I'm reminded of the "Thing" campaign they had in WD many moons ago...

Are those pictures photo shopped? They look really odd.

I also agree that the proportions seem a bit weird, but that could be down to the camera angle and their pose. I do think they're essentially a whole gang of rollerderby Harley Quinns though, which I imagine some folks will find appealing.

Pretty much, the anatomy and chunkiness of them just looks bad.

The photos could just have a touch of perspective distortion - ergo areas closest are a little enlarged over those further away; a product of being taken very close to the model with a shorter focal length lens as opposed to a longer telephoto lens.

Also I find that sometimes models look VERY different in person to in photographs. So sometime its best to withhold minor irritations until you see the model in the flesh.

So then they released a horde of snakes to eat of the owl eggs.

I don't understand why some of you are saying the proportions or physiques on the Eschers look off. They look pretty consistent with most muscular, gym junkie women I've met. Take a look at women weightlifters or professional fighters. They tend to be thicker and more heavily muscled around the waist. When most people think of athletic physiques for women, they think of swimmers or runners or people who just keep in general healthy shape. That's not the type of body you should expect from gangers that are constantly fighting for their lives in one of the most hostile environments in the galaxy.

Also, looks like we're going to get at least some assembly options with the Gangers. These two models seem to be using the same torsos and legs, but have different heads and weapons.

Yes, head and hair, mask are separated piece according to GW.

Most of the escher gun that show up so far look really ugly imo. The Irad Widow pistol is the only one look good.
