North Star/Osprey keep hitting it out of the park with these and the various *grave line of multi-part plastic kit boxes. So far my only real issue has been the overfed wolves.

Those definitely bring the classic prose back. I like them a lot.

They're still too muscled for me. I want partially-mummified, beef-jerky-over-bone revenants.

These look like skull-faced barbarians painted green, to me.

Look at the Ice King from A Game of Thrones, he wasn't desiccated and falling apart, his minions were in pretty decent shape as well....except their faces. Only the grunts were torn apart and dirty/covered in dried/frozen gore. So I guess it's just how you want your lords of undeath to look.

I suppose it does make kitbashing them with other undead kits a little harder, but I don't really mind their fresher look. It's either more like they returned from the realm of the dead in a very physical sense, or like they were brought back much closer to life than the typical skeleton nerd through more powerful magic.

It gives them a bit of a niche among undead kits which I do appreciate. You can kitbash them with other human kits more easily, too. Give them new heads and you've got perfectly decent generic Evil Warriors, or perhaps some kind of half-orcs.

Which doesn't exactly work if you paint them in the colours of living humans, i suppose.

Do we already have some info on their weapons? Just from the artwork, they seem to have the exact same options as the regular dwarf infantry minus the shields and chainmail.

the regular dwarf infantry has spears, though. some of the guys in the back of that picture, by the waterfall, appear to have shields. so these might have bows, two-handed weapons and hand weapons plus shields.

No, as these kits only have options described in their entries in the Oathmark rulebook.
