I really like it, and the fact that it doesn't fit into the typical fantasy norms.

Where's this guy in that menagerie though?

Because he doesn't look anything like the horsemen on display here...

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Looks great. Death's horse is a riot.

Those boogie-down skeletons remind me of some poses from medieval woodcuts.

Still gonna save up for Batman but this is great for the 15mm gamers.

I initially stayed away from this because the game looked to be a nightmare with all those accessories and I personally prefer 6/10mm more. But I'm getting seriously tempted now with all those miniatures, even though I would never play the game itself

Anyone else getting a Kingdom Death vibe from some of those sculpts? Especially the Lamb and Leviathan.

I'm not convinced by the Ottomans. Good sculpts but single pose and I'm not sure we are going to get enough troop types and enough miniatures to be a viable alternative side.

The apocalypse expansion on the other hand looks terrific and has more of what drew me into the game in the first place.

Its easy to pad out the ottomans with vassal Serbs and Wallachians who would have been using arms and armor similar (though granted probably not identical) to the troops for England and France.

Does this mean I can now re-enact (or pre-enact?) the battle of Armageddon on my tabletop? Awesome!
Hell yeah! How will those moral guardians say things like fantasy, roleplaying and wargaming are sinful now? Look, my army is led by Jesus!

I think I have heard that they will let you add additional Ottomans in the pledge manager.

It's the CMON business model! Go for it!

(Unless you're backing Batman. Then save your pennies.)

All kidding aside, that's what I'm doing/waiting for.

JOAN OF ARC looks great, and IF I had a gaming group that was into it, I'd back this one all the way.

But I don't, so BATMAN it is...

Still, very impressed with what's on offer here - it all looks good!

They demoed Batman ten minutes away from my house a couple of weeks back and completely forgot to go on the day :(

Kinda late to ask, but do we know whether $1 pledges will get access to the PM to convert to a full pledge down the line?

I checked the FAQ, but didn't see an answer.

Has anyone talked at all about the combat-mode the game was touting? IE, there's supposedly a more conventional miniatures game mode that talked about army-building, etc... but strips all the RPG/narrative elements... but that also hasn't come up very often.

Yes but you won’t get the two Kickstarter “super exclusive” giant monsters. You have to back the base level in the actual campaign to get those.

They mentioned that a few times recently but not certain if in update or comments. They were talking about how they are including a kid of smaller armies such as the Scottish which will use the same miniatures but have different stats. Will try to find the quote when I get home.

They described it in some detail in one of the updates. Update 45 to be precise.

I'm really impressed with the art direction for the Apocalypse.

It's like Hieronymus Bosch meets Dali meets KDM; brave and just disturbing enough... Hey, I heard that you religious nuts like kissed mummified body parts of saints, well we've got a whole mummified Pope!

Looks like my dragon/devil/castle plan is getting swapped out for the mythic bundle. Just don't know if I can deal with scrapping the castle...

OK, thanks! I'd be OK not having the Giants if I went late.

I've got a base pledge but will probably pick up all the add-ons during the PM, they seem such good value to miss.

They're playing a live "Battlegame" right now... and they definitely sold me on it. Now unfortunately I need to scrape up $440 to go all-in on game mechanic addons.

If I put in $250 now, can I make up the balance in a Pledge Manager?

Yep. All you need to commit to now is the Maiden Pledge (if you want the bonus exclusive models). You can add as much as you like within the pledge manager.

The pledge manager is going to have extra addons as well such as an upgrade pack to a full Ottoman army.

Of course it will. ;-) In for a penny, in for a pound, I suppose. I'll justify it as also setting me up for any other 15mm fantasy game I might want to try out, terrain and all!

It helps that Leo is a terrific designer. I wish everyone (rightly) fawning over Shadespire would give competitive Mythic Battles a try next year. That game is incredible.

I really dig the Apocalypse expansion. I only expected the Four Horseman, so this loaded kit was a fantastic surprise. I love the design work and concepts. I'd already put enough in for the "Mythic" level (Devil, Dragon, Village, and now Apocalypse), so I'd already committed to it.

Only real decision left for me is whether to get Siege as well. But I'm very happy with the offered content. I hope it is a success and we get more ToL, for the Greeks or Vikings or whatever.

I read the latest update, heard the talk of historical and mythic Ottoman dude and thought "okay, two of the same mini with different unit cards...."

Scrolled down, saw the concept art and thought "okay, so I was wrong..."

Took a few seconds for the details and scale to sink in and realised that I was super wrong! That is one awesome mini!

I would just urge those who want to late pledge, that it's simply better to do it now, if you can financially ofcourse,in order to push campaign!

Also, iirc, the Gog and Magog mini's will only be available for pledges at the $120 / $110 level made during the campaign.

Does anyone know if every expansion will have battle-mode content?

IE does Villagers and Siege offer anything for those of us who just want it as a competitive battle game?

I know, for example, some terrain can be "bought" in battle-mode for your army, but does that include Abbeys and Mills, and all that jazz?

The same for villagers, the keep, etc...
