Hmm. the last box reveal is kind of lost on me. Some of the minis I *really* like, others I'm kind of.... ehh really?

I'm in for the base, and at least the more terrain-centric ones.

Something is happening on the 24th, we sent you a poster.

Thinking that I won't be able to get in on this right now due to finances. However I'm very interested and curious - from what I can gather

1) If you pledge now for $1 you can pledge and upgrade costs later for the same price as they are shown now in the pledge manager later

2) The only things that won't appear in the pledge manager are Gog and Magog exclusives; otherwise everything appears at the same price and in the same contents in the pledge manager. *

Am I correct on those two counts and if so anyone know the pledge manager cut-off date?

*With the exception of the early-bird backer option of course

For me, it's the issue of wanting all the terrain that goes with the minis. I want the Seige and Village buildings very much, so that bumps the price quite a bit from $120.

Aye same for me - the siege stuff looks great and few games go far enough to have proper siege and I suspect it will be many years before GW brings anything like Warmaster back to the market.

Bring on the Vampire sub-faction!!!!! Not as jaw-dropping as the incredible Mehmet model, but not much could have been.

Aye. You are correct on both counts. You can get anything currently on offer (and more) in the pledge manager apart from Gog and Magog. I do not think opening and closing dates for the pledge manager have been announced yet. They likely will soon after the Kickstarter closes. I would still recommend grabbing a base pledge now (for the cool giants, and to help unlock more free stuff), but if you really can't spare the money right now you won't miss out on anything except Gog and Magog.

Does anyone know if every expansion will have battle-mode content?

IE does Villagers and Siege offer anything for those of us who just want it as a competitive battle game?

I know, for example, some terrain can be "bought" in battle-mode for your army, but does that include Abbeys and Mills, and all that jazz?

The same for villagers, the keep, etc...

They've said every mini is useable in battle mode (except the farm animals). The RPG obviously doesn't have anything. The Plunder box gives you more bases so you can have even bigger battles, but everything else should have quite a bit that is useable.

I split my pledges between the campaign and the pledge manager to kid myself I didn't spend that much lol

Those aren't 3-ups?

They're the real deal size that we'll get?

I may have to re-think NOT pledging for this...

The Dragon is about three times bigger... :-p These guys are pretty crazy value propositions. The crate of Mythic Battles I got was stunning.

They are the size we receive.

This KS is giving you an absolutely MENTAL amount of stuff.

I have to say... going all-in on game-play material runs about $440 total... but the fact that in terms of 15mm fantasy/historical terrain alone I will be set for life, makes it very compelling.

Are there any other great 15mm fantasy rules out there I might be able to use in addition to this?

There's a lot of rulesets you could use as even if they're not set up for 15mm specifically they're easy to convert. I use God of Battles, and just convert the distances from inches to cm. Warmaster from GW would need scaled up slightly as it's 10mm. DBA/DBM and Field of Glory are historical rulesets that can use 15mm, and Hordes of the Things is a fantasy version of DBA. Lion Rampant (historical) and Dragon Rampant (fantasy) are also options.

Thanks guys!

And yeah I know getting in now helps the KS unlock more - its more a case of juggling money around; KS this soon before Christmas is evil; too far off to convince people its an early christmas gift and too close to make you not think about the expensive period to come soon

Argh, I really just want the Griffin and The Beast models! Not enough to drop $120 on everything for just them though.

Are there any comparison pics out there like for how some of the big monsters compare in size to 28-30mm minis?

If you go to the Devil update, they show him next to a bog Space Marine. He is huge. Edit: Modock has the picture back on page 2 of this thread.

Back it for the models you want then sell the rest? These kind of kickstarters with lots of exclusives tend to go for a nice bit of money because people who missed the kickstarter still want in.

That's not a bad strategy, if you're looking to just get your stuff at a fair price.

That depends on the backer count. Zombicide 1 did great because the production run was small. Zombicide 4 & 5 had much larger print runs, so things are much less scarce. IMO, the days of big resale of KS items are over.

I think you'll have a lot of luck selling off most of the holy and you holy units, and probably the ottomans. That's what a lot of people have been clamoring for (particularly more angels).

Im probably going to look to set up trades myself. I certainly want more gascon serjants, arquebusiers, and pavaisiers. Im also not that keen on the more overtly Judeo-Christian holy/unholy stuff

If all you want is the dragon and beast, surely the answer is to just back for a 1$ and pay the $95 in the pledge manager for them?
