Likely just not wanting to pay for new one. Still he seems interested on more leaks rather than just picture of cover of codex.

Using same codex cover for new versions is maybe designed to ruin the second hand market (ebay) - that cheap £5 codex .... maybe not. The only way to verify second hand books were the current version up to now was the cover.

Well they're using a lot of external talent for art these days and running to pretty tight schedules for these codexes (codexi?)
so maybe somebody let them down and they could either delay the book or use an existing asset
especially as the other books got new covers (well new as a cover anyway) so i'll bet the intention was to give this one something different too

Extremely unlikely. Far more likely reason is simply to save cash on commissioning new art, given how many books they're churning out. They can recycle and add a new border to them all for virtually nothing, and spend any artwork costs on things like the new regiment images and photography inside.

Yup. Ebay has buyer protection anyway--if someone sold a codex claiming it was the wrong edition you'd get your money back. Not to mention the negative impact on the seller, and the fact that shady sellers could have always had the option of using fake images anyways.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page
I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.
I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games. |

No FW FAQ though.
Honestly the only thing I was waiting for was a Stonecrusher Carnifex eratta to bring their charge bonus and head options up to speed.

Q: If a model has more than one pair of scything/monstrous scything/massive scything talons, does it make 1 additional attack with one of those pairs, or 1 additional attack with each of those pairs? A: 1 additional attack with one of those pairs. So the hell does that answer mean? If a model has 2 pairs of scything talons does it get 2 additional attacks? Shouldn't the answer have been: A: 1 additional attack for each of those pairs. Example: If a model has 2 pairs of scything talons it gets 2 additional attacks. Same for Boneswords... Oh, I think I get it now. Even if a model has more than one pair they only get 1 additional attack, so don't get more than one pair as it does nothing.
