$170 for 14 dwarves and two small vehicles? I've got to be honest, I'm feeling a little underwhelmed here.

The boats and especially the balloon guys are xpensive, yeah.

It also looks like it includes 3 characters, which would be $75 in and of itself.

I can't say for sure but it looks like:
-Gunhauler
-Frigate
-Ballooners
-Arkanaut Company
-Admiral
-Aether-Khemist
-Navigator

If I'm right about the characters(I might very well be wrong, it just seems like the guys in the background are kind of pushed back further than they would be for most shots of a unit) that puts you at $290 worth of product for $170.
You're looking at $240 of product for $170, saving you $70.

Strike the two extra characters. It's the blurry photos killing my eyes, the Arkanaut Company just have two models kind of poked up a bit with the Admiral.

The Tau box is actually pretty good, all kits are relatively new with the oldest being the stealth suits, with enough to build 3-4 elite units and an HQ all with tonnes of options and poseability.

Edit: and $200 CAD for $304 worth of retail kit.

It also makes me speculate about the T'au codex, as it's the only box that doesn't appear to have 'troops' in it.

Vanguard Detachment would make it legal though.

3 Elites and 1 HQ.

It would, but the box still breaks the mould of the others for that reason.

Granted they could just be built around a theme of 'suits that can fly around' but my inner farsight fan can't let crisis troops go.

I was hoping to see these show up (wish they did more). Sadly, I'd only buy an Eldar one if needed, and they barely have enough plastic kits to really do one. I preferred the ones last year which didn't repeat anything from the Start Collecting box --- thought that was a great move.

LAST YEAR'S TAU:

An extremely solid box when combined with the Tau Start Collecting --- so the new one isn't quite as cool to me since you're repeating suits.

Assuming Farsight doesn't get their own Codex, I'd expect something allowing for Crisis Suits taken in a Vanguard Detachment to get Objective Secured.

I'd far rather this box to that one. I bought the one last year, don't get me wrong(I even lucked out--mine had 6 Stealth Suits instead of 3 in it...but was missing sprues from the Devilfish sadly)...but Crisis Suits are $75/3. Any place I can get them discounted with a Ghostkeel or Stealths? I'm down.

Is it only this single page? Is it like 2015 where there were different in-store versus online deals?

Can anyone make out what's in the AoS Death box? I am still sitting on three unopened Flesh Eater Court big-bundles, but am always interested in Death stuff.

1 Mortarch (£48) (Or £50 in a Horde box with extra...)
2 Morghast (£36)
20 Skeleton Warriors (?) (£34)
10 Graveguard (£25.50)
1 Wight King on foot (£11)

Looks like that to me

Nope. There a more with the terrain and paint deals. You can see some of them on spikey bits.

The paint bundle was pic from WD November, the battleforce is not from WD November. Also they clearly wrote

The layout and formatting also appears to be similar to the pages seen in the White Dwarf this month as well (above) leading some to further speculate that these faction bundles are from a separate Holiday catalog that most retailers get around this time each year.

Maybe this is an obvious question, but anyone knows if these holiday bundles usually offered through flgs?
Thanks

Yes they are, I picked up a few last year from online discounters. This year's selection aren't all that tempting for myself, thankfully...

Looks decent, but I still have 90% of the Deathwatch one from last year still in the box, and got a ton of use out of the 2 AdMech ones. Will pass on these this year. More money for terrain at least.

The GW site also has a bunch of "No Discount" bundles up for Pre-Order, all of which are just the contents at standard prices added together.

Except, from what I can see, this one:

Here's the contents description:

Games "What does 'Bundle' actually mean?" Workshop wrote:- A 5-man set of Lychguard, featuring warscythes, hyperphase swords and dispersion shields – these can optionally be assembled as Triarch Praetorians;
- A Destroyer Squadron – this is a set of 3 Destroyers, armed with gauss cannon and complete with a transfer sheet;
- A Start Collecting! Necrons set – this contains 17 miniatures: an Overlord, a Triarch Stalker, a Scarab Swarm and a set of twelve Necron Warriors.
Notice something missing from that description?

The price matched the contents listed there added up, but the picture has 5 Immortals that are not mentioned anywhere. Is that a mistake?

Also, great googly moogly how good does this look?

Does site specifically call them bundles or are these more of nobody but players call them bundles "bundles".

I have yet to see gw call no discount box as a bundle. Rather "this week primaris pre orders" or similar

Probably the correct one is the desciption, it's not rare for GW to make mistake like this. For example the "The enemy below" bundle show no Trygon but one of the 3d review pic is the Trygon.

Also back from Gatherring Storm 2, they have the "Reborn Bladehost" bundle which show the old resin Harlequin kit being sold, which is probably wrong.

Probably because your pre-orders aren't up yet. Change your flag to a country from the future (NZ, Oz, etc.) and you'll see 'em. They put up tons of them alongside some of the new terrain bundles (that actually are bundles).

They do the one-click bundles every week or so, tied in to the armies shown on Warhammer TV/Warhammer Live's Twitch games.

Maybe actually doing the math to show you kind of made a mistake and ALL of them have discounts?

Ironjawz consists of 10 ardboyz (45EUR) 5 brutes (42EUR), and 3 goregruntas (67EUR) these jackasses alone costs a whooping 151 euros...the box costs 141 and there's two more heroes.

Sylvaneth has a treelord (50EUR) 3 kurnoth (46EUR) 5 tree revenants (29EUR) and a branchwych (18EUR)... which adds up to 143EUR on a 140EUR box that also includes 20 driads (which would be like 40EUR, give or take).

Deathwatch has 10 veterans (58EUR) a Corvus Blackstar (52EUR) and a dreadnought... which all combined cost less than 137EUR and also include the watch master and captain artemis.

Not that there are amazing discounts, mind you, but you get a better bang for your buck on GW than normally. And they do have discount.
