The old d cannon is probably pretty brutal too. Being sucked whole into the warp isnt usually going to end well.

But I'd vote for any of the DE weapons aforementioned.

Absolutely agree with the Dark Eldar weaponry and the fleshborers etc. No-one's mentioned the Death Jester's Shrieker Cannon yet - that's got to be pretty horrible.

DKoK Engineer acid grenades followed up by carcass shotgun rounds. No thanks!

Also, the are psychosonic attacks so not only is the noise crippling/fatal alone all manner of warpfethery is going on in your head too!

Dark Elder and Tyranid guns are pretty grisly and I rank them in the top tier for this threads purpose.

Shokk attack gun from orks that teleport frantic, defecating snotlings into your insides resulting in them clawing their way out via Alien chest buster style is pretty nasty.

While not necessarily painful (not sure) but I'd like to read fluff about a big meks teleport blasta in effect. An area effect blast teleporting it's targets high up in the air giving the targets a moment or two to think about their death as they plummet back to the ground. I can picture it raining guardsmen as a big mek blasts it's way through a horde.

Well another alternative to all this would be force weapons though no clue on what it would be like to have your soul cut in half.

To be fair the common flamer of any type would be horrifying enough, and probably more painful even than being eaten from the inside due to the majority of nerves located near the surface.

The nerfhammer. I'm only T2 at the best of times, I can't afford to lose any stats! Anything else will kill me, so at least my troubles would be over.

Transuranic Arqeubus - the velocity that thing hits at with a solid slug would suck your internals out the exit wound or turn you inside out.

Seconded on the Shokk Attack Gun. You’re having a snotling aimed through the warp at you.

He might materialize inside you and frantical attempt to tear out of your innards or simple replace one of your limbs (including your brainpan). He may get mashed into your armor with you, squirming and clawing as he fights for space in something meant only to fit one person - tightly. He might even phase right through, landing at your feet or a few yards away clutching some vital organ that was once inside you. Part of you may get turned inside out as the little bugger fails to escape the warp, and drags part of you back in with him.

He might even materealize, clutching on to you as some demon grabs hold of the little bugger and hauls both you and him back into the warp.

Love this thread.

When I describe 40k to outsiders I am always sure to mention Tyranids and their living beetle ammunition.

And while it may not be the worst (nids and Dark Eldar win on that) Gauss flayer weaponry has always fascinated me.

From the 30k timeline, Yimira stasis bombs could be a terrible way to go... could be instant, or you could be stuck in limbo slowly withering over the course of a decade or two.

Having just finished "Dead men walking" i'm probably going to second gauss flayers, as well as suggest the claws used by flayed ones.

Skinned alive and then left to die of blood loss/shock/exposure whilst some horrifying metal skeleton wears your skin as a hat is probably a pretty bad way to go.

This. Being captured by orks is only marginally better than being captured by dark eldar. At least orks will let you die eventually.

This is the correct answer.

The second place goes to any and all other Imperial weapons. They spell certain doom and death to anyone who they are fired at.

Meanwhile, the shots fired by traitor, xenos and heretics merely bounce harmlessly off any armor bearing the sign of the Aquila!

Basically like being hit with a slug from a railgun, then. The impact energy would probably blow you into pieces. The only comfort is that you'd barely have time to register that fact and see your arms and legs fly away from you before you died.
