The Mutalith is a mutated beast in fantasy/AoS. In 40k it can be a mutated-xeno species. Or a chaos-sensible xenos. Both work perfectly well for the background. It even looks alien enough.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Geojag13 wrote: I like the armour for the Thirster but I am a little confused on how relics work. Is it one free for the whole army? I usually run a WE detatchement from CSM alongside my Daemons so is it possible to have both the Collar and Armour?
They work just like the CSM relics: if your warlord is Deamons you may have one free Deamon relic, two cost 1cp, three cost 3cp. You can't have a Deamon relic and a CSM relic in the same army since you can only have one warlord.
Uh...wrong. Your free relic is determined by your warlord. Paid relics are based on stratagems, and stratagems are unlocked based on detachments. They are unrelated.
Is there an FAQ with that somewhere or some ruling? Because that doesn't seem correct.
I believe you are right. The stratagem says you get one extra chaos relic for 1 command point or 2 for 3 cp. To me that means you have to already have a chaos relic to get another one. But I can see it the other way as well, English is a fun language.
Anyone see anything that confirms the deep strike ability? Looking through, I'm not seeing it.

Well, that does it. I'm slapping some Shoulder pads on my old GUO and calling him a walking prince from now on. Now to decide whether to go big and get the new GUO, or just get Mortarion instead.

Facebook.
Peraphrasing:
Why are the herald mount options missing
No they are not. They are just under a different name.
Now... that's just weird. Why would they say that. Slaanesh Herald is the ONLY Herald without a name change in the codex. Did they change the name, have the 2 pages of missing models but misprinted it?

This be really funny if this was the case mainly because this shouldn't happen.

Good point, the Herald of Slaanesh is the only one that didn't get a name change and fancy variations.
I don't think they misprinted anything, Slaanesh is merely getting the redhead stepchild treatment.
Edit: Interesting unrelated tidbits, the Herald now has the Daemonette keyword so she can benefit from The Masque buff.

They could easily shut down DS Primarchs by adding a rule that no unit may have the Legion or Heretic Astartes keywords if it is deemed necessary. I'm more worried about Lord of Skulls or a Brass Scorpion wrecking face close range than any cc primarchs.

The Exalted seeker chariot has actually been buffed massively despite the 8pt increase.
It now has 2 extra wounds and a massively improved degrading table
Codex
2+ > 3+ > 4+
vs
Index
2+ > 4+ > 6+
I'm very impressed with the improvement especially on the degrading table. It actually has more in common with the exalted herald chariot from the index than the regular exalted chariot and that thing cost 140pts and still had the god awful degrading table that went to 6+, the only advantage it had was smite and +1str aura.

The exalted seeker chariot and exalted seeker chariot with the Herald were two different units. One was an HQ, the other a heavy support. The argument between the seeker and exalted chariots were never the to hit on the degrading chart, it was the slowing of the movement on a dedicated melee unit. It was pretty unanimous that the seeker chariot with Herald was superior in every way to the exalted chariot with Herald because of the wounds value. Being under 9 wounds allowed you to hide the seeker chariot with Herald behind screening units.

I know they are different units (herald chariots don't exist in the codex now), the codex exalted seeker chariot has the same number of wounds as the index herald exalted seeker chariot, but costs 40pts less and has a superior degrading table. Hence my comment that it had more in common with the former herald variant of the chariot.
It also never becomes slow, it goes 12 > 10 > 8, 8in is still decently quick, the reason they sucked was because there weapon skill became 6+ the same as a rhino, making them absolutely worthless, they actually became worse than a regular chariot after only losing 4 wounds.

Well, the question was about all heralds, and for Tzeentch and Khorne variants the answer is true. Guess they just took the easy way out, since the question wasn't "Why are the herald of Slaanesh mount options missing?".

Don't know the points, but they are still there and still the same. Hope they maybe are a bit cheaper.

I feel like it's not a Daemon in AoS so they can shoe-horn their weird eight million factions. It, clearly, should be a Daemon. Who knows what GW will do in the end, though.

courtesy of a friend with a larger collection than I, got to road test a game with the leaks playing a LoC and a mixed bag of daemons, I think you might want to give the bird with the robe and serpent shield WL trait a second look. It shrugged off a truckload of fire even running across the table (it notably survived being shot by a Scorpion heavy grav tank, which usually instagibs knights/magnus/morty)
edit, also worth noting is that splitting horror bombs are fantastic for dealing with dark reapers, since they can wipe the pink horror unit but now have to deal with double the number of blues, and when adding blues you can add them to the front of the unit and slowly march the blob closer to the reapers for an easy charge the more casualties they create with forewarned.
