I like it, especially the level of detail work on the scratch built parts! Only thing that throws it off for me is how the cylinders don't line up with the support pillars. Having them continue up throughout the structure will add the feeling of weight to them instead of having them offset and unsupported.

thanks, it's only dry fitted at moment, just to get the layout set, once i'm happy with them and painted I will put them inline, thanks for comments

so while waiting for green stuff to do welds I thought I would do some pipework connecting silos etc
this one was made from galvanic magnavent, pipes and the red pipe is from rocket launcher from firework night with serial box cut in strips and miniature modelling nuts also managed to start next level

Looking good! Don't want to know how much that set you back though, that's scary amount of terrain in there

thanks not cost anything in real terms yet as I sold all GW the parts from another project to finance it,

Its an amazing build, i especially like the aldae/barnacles on the rig legs. Where on earth are you going to keep it though. Its massive

thanks, it's staying in bedroom for now it's more tall than wide at the moment

added my own scratchbuilt chequer plate flooring to GW ones and created a hatch to middle with opening doors, to the end of this is going to be the landing pad on silo and theres going to be a pully loader from it to above hatch, for supplies etc, still some more details to be done on doors

that´s the good stuff!

put some more detail on hatch made first own version of flooring and moved hatch piece as was overhanging other levels too much restricting movement

not done a great deal but greenstuf came so started welds on rig supports, 2 down 5 to go, also making barnacles but will photo these when I get more done

Great stuff. That’s coming along swimmingly. And your attention to detail with the barnacles on the bottom is fantastic.

I'm simply awed by the scale of this thing, and it's a rare thing to see that combined with an amazing amount of attention to detail.Keep it up!

Good gravy that;s an impressive haul of plastic and a mighty fine build in progress

not done a great deal but finished welds and added some molluscs on the supports

not done a great deal but had some time to make a scartchbuilt silo, something different to the games workshop ones, made from old air freshener body and bits from sector mechanicus sets

Could you show a pic of the original air refresher? That seems to be a very nice pics of junk...the built looks very nice that way!

This building is so exciting!

heres a picture of it viktor it's a bit of a nightmare to get stuff to stick to it

Many thanks, that is indeed an interesting piece...the flat side has its merits...

As for glueing stuff to that slick plastic , there are two options...:
One, you drill the plastic and shove the rods in it...or you use a mixture of super glue and backing soda ... together this forms an evil crystalline mess...sturdy as hell...but one knock could still scrap stuff off... you could sand of course the to be glued surfaces first...that can help...or carving thin lines....

The upper star like structure is also highly promising!

so started the support pillers and the growth around them, used pictures of real coral reef base as starting point, several layers later done

I found that mitre super glue where you get a spray first to dry it then the glue works about the best up to now seems stuck ok

my attempt at some mussels had some greenstuff over so rather than waste it had a go just adds another layer to it, thanks for comments
