Has anyone else who did a preorder for issue 5 from Forbidden Planet been charged yet? They say they should be coming in on the 7th, I was expecting the transaction to have been processed by now.
"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

Yeah, mine dispatched before issue 3 Tuesday last week as far I remember.
I mean single issues, just to be clear, I've not subbed. It still shows under my account details, suppose I'll just have to wait and hope they've not cocked it up.

Was in stock on the shop at 12:30pm UK time today (Wednesday 3rd of Orktober). Sensibly limited to single orders only. Sadly limited to UK orders only (possibly Eire too? maybe the website detects locale). edit: Not Eire see DaveC post below
Additional info: Whereas the first four issues obtained via newsagents had packaging protecting the sprues, the issue 5 Lieutenant Calsius spue is loose inside the plastic wrap that holds the magazine. Cheaping out on the packaging is a disappointing change for collectors and will make finding an undamaged model in future more difficult*.
*Personally I do not approve of artificial scarcity. It screws over the very people that support the hobby and plays into the hands of scalpers.

Limited to UK only I tried to check out with an Irish address but it blocks it. Luckily local newsagent is still carrying it but I’m bowing out for issues 6 &7.

Did issue 1 ever come back as 'in stock' on their site (before going out of stock again)? I wouldn't mind picking up select issues (including the LT issue) but I missed the boat on finding issue 1 on a store shelf.

The Calsius prices on eBay are interesting - at the top end there's bids of £37 (£2.95 P&P) & £39.88 (free P&P), but then there's a load at £5.99 (£1.50 P&P) without bids. The highest sold one was £39.99 (£3.95 P&P). I suppose the market is now saturated.
It may be a case of which sellers are offering international postage as I can understand why those overseas would be willing to pay a bit more. That said paying above £15 for it in the UK is mental to me.

Nope, it is an opt in for the seller. Though given how eBay send it via their "fulfillment centre" now it is a lot easier with them sorting out import duties, tax etc.
Just hope that those that want them are able to get the Lt without paying through the nose. Do we think the miniature will see a future release or will there be some sort of exclusivity contract with Hatchette?
the way the stuff in the magazine seems to be going that sort of makes sense, I'm expecting various 'king of the hill' type fights, endless chaos hordes against brave marines etc, at least to start with
You can swap the left arms on two of the models about, but that gives you one guy with the grenade launcher and a plasma gun. You could also swap backpacks around, but that would take some minor conversion work.

See earlier in the thread for my way of converting to get three different minis.

I know doublers are inevitable, but still a bit disappointed they came so soon.
Still, next four are pretty decent. Issue 7 with just two pots of wash is probably the first where its cheaper to buy separately. But with the Primaris Libby the week after (an eye watering £22.50 retail, fact fans!) and the Blighthauler soon after that (£15.00), it's hard to feel ripped off there
And for clarity....more recent issues are showing a price in AUD and NZD. Sadly I can't rattle them off the top of my head, but I'll make a point of sharing that when I get in. Unless someone else can step in with that info of course.
That of course indicates an antipodean release (as Hachette did with Dredd), and I can see that being very popular. Provided you don't mind Nurgle or Primaris.

Fed up of Scalpers? But still want your Exclusives? Why not join us?
I don't mind this, I just figured they would use the plague brethren rather than a second easy build. I now have 4* easy build DG, one stock, one modified with DG parts and the two from this magazine still on sprue.

$19.99 for both currencies (I posted this here a few days ago)
