Dr. Mills wrote: AndrewGPaul wrote:Did anyone else get a grey sprue of “Death Guard villains” instead of a green one with issue 34?
I did. Simplest way I can explain is that they were cast without the green colour added by accident, but still used as it doesn't effect the end product in the slightest.
Yeah, that's what I thought. The picture of the sprue in the assembly section of that issue showed it in green; until that point I had wondered if they were going to stop using the coloured plastic, but it looks like a minor mistake, that's all.
I've been catching up with the painting; I had all the Ultramarines and terrain done, now I'm doing the Death Guard minis. I've been following the painting guide rather than painting them the way I'd usually do things, so I'm interested to see what the end result is like. When they get round to introducing highlighting, I think my speed will drop significantly.

I'm up to the latest issue for the Death Guard and UMs but haven't bothered with the terrain so much yet.
Here's the Death Guard including where I picked up multiple issues and Bits to have some variety between the easy builds. I've been enjoying the monthly manageable drop.

Only thing i've received is an email telling me that they have pushed back when they will start billing me to mid May.
Nope, nothing yet. Subscribed on 22nd of March, so it’s been well over 28 days. Got billed on April 4.
Pretty disappointed so far, I’ve contacted them numerous times and they assure me it has shipped but they are “unable to provide tracking” and it is just “slower than expected.”
Hrmm, not great. Will keep waiting, but yes, almost reached the 28 days mark for me, too.

I got mine today, also had the grey sprue of death guard heroes. I wonder will we get the space marine lieutenant ones in grey too. I know all the other sprues are coloured since they started making Know No Fear but those weren't part of it.

The other sprues from Dark Imperium, as well as the Librarian, Apothecary and Rhino and the terrain sprues weren't grey, and the picture of the sprue in the magazine shows a green sprue; I don't think this is necessarily a sign of anything to come.

Got my 1st delivery just now.
Only got first 3 issues, was expecting 4 though. Does that sound about right to anyone else? Only got billed for 3 though.... so guess that's fine.
The glue, pliers and mouldline remover were just rattling around loose in the bag which seems, I dunno, kinda not great, but anyway.
Happy now that though that they've started turning up.

Good to know.
I subbed as soon as WH Conquest was announced and have been waiting [mostly] patiently, but nothing heard. If there is no delivery by the end of the week I'll cancel and buy a boxed Dark Millenium and some of the special Nurgle models instead.

If you've already been billed for it, then you will still (eventually) receive the first package, as cancelling your sub isn't retroactive. They won't refund your first payment and you'll still get the first issues + gift even if they're yet to ship them. That's my understanding of it.

I’d say just don’t worry too much. It’ll come and then once it does it’ll just be a regular monthly drop of goods

Yeah, the first three issues for ~$20 was what was expected (#1 = $5, #2 = $13, #3 = free). And then $20 an issue from then on. And they like billing early, like, a month in advance. Automatically Appended Next Post: Received my first lot of issues today. Took 29 days, so just past their advertised 28 day wait

My first delivery ( UK) was just issues 1 & 2, then the second delivery kicked in with 3 - 6. My last delivery was 31 - 34.

All is good. Issues 1 to 3 finally arrived yesterday.
Some of the modelling items are back-ordered, so I hope this means Hachette has a massive number of subscribers for WH: C in Australia.
I'm doing this as a grandad/grandson project, and we have got all the models assembled, with priming this weekend.
Glad to have started this 2 year journey, and I'll finally learn 40K along the way.

I just received my 2nd order (a week after my first), which was quite a surprise. I hadn't even realised they'd billed me for it. This one only took 9 days to be delivered. Rather then the almost 30 days it took the first one. Any other Aussies got theirs yet?

Though I think you should subscribe twice so you can both do it all, then we can track both progresses through a Plog

Has anyone else's issue 34 arrived with the sprue damaged? My normal one had damage to the Plaguecaster, and the replacement they sent out has almost identical damage.

Is it the dangly cloth bits round his neck?
If so the majority of the sprues that I've picked up (from dark imperium) in the past have had a break there and it looks like they should have really engineered better support for it around that position
so i'm not surprised if they're breaking in conquest too

I snapped the cloth that goes under the plague casters right arm while clipping it from the sprue on the one from my Dark Imperium box too if thats the same spot. Ended up gluing it back together with contact to the hip.

The next set have shown up under the hatchet website. There are 6 items on the list, 4 issues, payment and an extra thing that's uncharged? I thought we'd had all the free gifts now? Anyone have any ideas?
Nothing is named just yet, but as there is an "extra" item with no cost I can guess what the other 4 may be.

Yeah that makes sense, I forgot letters have been in the list of invoiced items. I was just too curious to wait so figured I'd ask the community, there is a good knowledge base here.
