For what it's worth, it's not just Conquest. I have another Hachette subscription for Transformers and that had the same delay issue and a similar email.

Their website has been closed to new orders for a few days too

Got my 35 to 38 issues today, the pull out Skyshield and Crash Site are a lovely touch.

Thought it was weird to have the assembly instructions for the Plague Surgeon quite sternly remind me that "As a subscriber, you have a seam remover tool" though, like reminding me to bring my scientific calculator to the exam

The Silver Templars book dropped through today - took some snapshots of it: https://ttgamingdiary.wordpress.com/2019/06/26/review-the-silver-templars/

Overall... I quite like it. Nice little book.

Looks like a nice book alright, looking forward to getting mine.

I remain a little baffled at the use of the Templars as a kind of Primaris flagship though, they don't feel like they have much of an identity or personality of their own - even their colour scheme and iconography is uniquely bland imho - and they seem almost to encapsulate some of the stuff people dislike about NuMarines. I think the Primaris models are pretty great, enough for me to want to use, but if I didn't this pretty colourless lore and imagery wouldn't do much to win me over.

Mine arrived yesterday, the not codex is actually pretty decent. Pity no rules sheets (even if just the limited conquest ones) but it’s nicely done.

Model photos are nice too, these should so have been the poster boys for the magazine and not smurfs, could have really gone for a unique feel then

Either way, happy here and a second PBC is nice

Yea, seems daft. Either do Ultramarines for everything, or do Silver Templars from the start.

I note their email says "Legends Collection" - do you subscribe to this as well as Conquest? Was wondering if you had separate emails for different collections.

I had the delay notice for Conquest and have since received my subscription, but am not subscribed to any other Hachette productions.

Happened to see issue 42 in the local supermarket last week and decided to pick it up not realising it was part 2/2. Can't get part 1/2 anywhere and the prices on eBay are almost as expensive as buying the kit new so, completely pointless.

What annoyed me this week was, I thought, well, I'll pick up 43, but couldn't find it anywhere, went to about 7 different shops, not even a hint of the magazine. I see that someone had 8 copies to sell on eBay on the same day though, with a 56% mark up and looking at the other available items, it would seem buying up collectable magazines to sell at inflated prices is their business. I can get the kit from my local FLGS for 50 pence cheaper than they are selling it on eBay so, the entire episode has been very frustrating.

Forbidden Planet seem to still have it on sale: https://forbiddenplanet.com/274648-warhammer-40k-conquest-figurine-collection-41/

I’ve used them to pick up some of the other issues (SM characters at 40% of retail? Thank you very much!)

I'd get in there quick with FP since they drop them fairly fast after release (I missed an extra rhino since I waited too long)

I'd seen that FP sold the magazines, although they were all out when I was looking last week. Thanks for the effort though, I appreciate it and 50p off as well, oh well; I have half a tank and some guns I suppose...

If you can still find the page for issue 41, keep it open as a tab as sometimes they do get more stock in and it quietly allows you to order more. I had that happen with the Rhino issue.

They got the Rhino back in two more times.

Probably explains why I've not had a delivery for 5 weeks. Glad I'm not in the slightest bit desperate for these, if this was my only access to the hobby I'd be gutted.

I've just realised...…

with all the new price rises this is going to be even better value

hardly time to praise GW but if folk have been doing their sums to see what issues they wanted to get it might be time to recalculate

Would the price rises really affect much of the range from Conquest? It's mostly new stuff that's less likely to see an increase with a few exceptions like the Rhino...

If Hachette run an Australian retail site there should be an indication of which is the most recent issue. As a from the start UK subscriber, my monthly delivery is normally 3 issues behind the retail release.

Baseless speculation on the future as we're now well past the half way point? I wouldn't be at all surprised to see an extension of this - an extra 20 issues, new map, excuse to put out the Shadowspear Primaris units (and associated lore etc in the magazine). Plus throw in a bunch of Contrast paints and guides for using those. Not ideal as that means changing painting methods part way through an army, but I'm not sure that bothers GW too much.

Another series? I'm now thinking with the new Sisters range being out by the time this wraps up that we could see that being one of the factions - this partwork was really targeted at new/younger players, so a faction that would appeal more to women seems to fit that mandate of drawing in new players.

haha no way they stick Sisters in that quickly. Or probably ever. Going after more female players is one thing. An all-female faction in an entry level product where the majority target market still will be younger teenage boys won't happen.

If there's a second series, it'll be AoS with Stormcast and either Bloodbound or Nighthaunt - following the same template. Probably Nighthaunt as there are more E2B models in that range and it makes for a cleaner transition to the current starter set. Stormcast also have a fair few females in their range now, so I'd expect that to be leveraged within the add-on models.

Was I supposed to get another battle mat with issue 41? I definitely didn't, but t's probably not worth the hassle of contacting Hachette for it.

From my list, 41 appears to be half of a Plagueburst Crawler.

I think it was from 39, the issue with the Plague Surgeon, issue 41 is just the first time you actually use the new mat in a mission as issues 39 and 40 still use the old mat.

They aren’t going to extend this. (In my opinion)
And wildly off the mark of them throwing in models that are new or popular as they will just sell as is. (Sisters etc.)
Shadowspear stuff maybe, as use out of those, particularly once full kits are out.
But bear in mind, they’d have to add stuff to both sides. And Death Guard is pretty much done now..

AoS is coming next for sure I think.
Stormcast and Nighthaunt, as they are the current starters.
That may have one or two Contrast in, depending when it was written and planned I guess..
(I could see it coming around Issue 60 of Conquest, at trial stage if they do that again..)
