This. I love Sisters and the painting is probably my top WH40K artwork of all time but the model was pretty meh. Her head is too small.

Which leaves, as kits needing to be redone : sisters on foot, seraphim, immolator, possibly canonness. Since the Sister's range is quite small, that makes not so many models.

The range should probably be thus:

Immolator=Fine
Plastic Exorcist/Dual kit with the Repressor.
Plastic sisters/Dual kit with Celestians
Plastic Dominions/Dual kit with Retributors
Plastic Seraphim/Dual kit with a more close combat based load out.
Splattering of plastic character clam packs.

I would say that's the core of what's needed. Then perhaps a big centre piece, a Cathedral tank or something.

Well considering the massive volume of news there's not a single new release to get excited about.

The new knight looks like somebody scaled down a warlord titan, then covered it in glue and rolled it in their bits box because MORE DAKKA.

The sea elves look utterly terrible. Everyone rider sea creatures that now fly across grass field because SIGMAR!!!!!!

And the sisters announcement is total non news. No model shots, no teaser, just an oh, we've decided to make plastic sisters, they COULD be out in a year to 18 months, MAYBE. They literally could have made the decision to start work on them this morning.

The only thing that tweaks a slight glimmer of hope is the news they will be doing more made to order waves, could be something re-released that will get me to open my wallet (but probably not from the dark elves up first).

Almost forgot to post about the cthulhu elves because of the nuns with guns news. Didn´t know that cthulhu cultists weren´t allowed to grow their hair. Everybody has a bald head like a bowling ball. And what is it all about sea creatures gliding through air like Discs of Tzeentch? Very weird. Though the surfer guy with the wave cloak looks pretty good. But still not my cup of tea. Those sea elves definitely lack a good amount of tentacles for proper cthulhu worshipping otherwise they just look like Aquaman´s goon squad.

I haven't read the whole thread, but I just received word of this and I'm so happy for Sisters players, existing and future ones. I might even get some myself.

I am very pleased. I have believed for a while that this is likely to happen, but it is nice to hear the confirmation. It would have of course been great to see some renders or even concept art, but that will come in due time.

Likely some of those quotes are taken from the survey and others from Facebook. Possibly the latter got their post dates added for flavor.

Every single survey I mentioned it, personally. Also mentioned distinct lack of female models in armies - a direct reason my wife didn't want to play anything except occassional orks... she'd have so many more armies with lady models that weren't my nuns with guns (she hates power armor, ofc, lol)

It may not be a big announcement, but I'm still happy after seeing the video. I'm not sure I will remake my whole army with plastic kits (I have more than two hundred sisters in metal, after all...), but you can't have too many sisters, can you ?

It's quite obvious that they have no intention of releasing plastic aspect warriors any time soon.

They've had a good 10+ years to do it and Eldar already have their codex.

As we literally know nothing and GW hasn't shown anything, not even concept art IN THEIR ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER should we assume they haven't even started working on them?

Haven't GW said it takes about 2 years from concept to product? When they said "Emperor willing, the Battle Sisters of the Adepta Sororitas will be ready to take the fight to the renegade, the heretic and the unbeliever in 2019." does that mean a more realistic release would be 2020 as the wording strongly suggests that we need a miracle for them to be done in 2019? So December launch 2019 if a miracle happens?

Regardless if the models are in concept or modelling stages GW will be using this design process preview to influence the design of the models and the people helping design them will be the feminists and sjw screaming the loudest. People who want to take what is obviously attractive to people and change it to bland, boring, unattractive designs in the name of equality. Feminist and SJW motto is: If I wasn't born attractive then no one can be.

Just look around every entertainment industry and you will see it. LGBGFWERGFRGVADFVWVASDFVAWADSFVASDVW comics that only feminists and sjw were asking for that has the lowest sales rate of all time. Blizzard Entertainments Alexstrasza that got the rectangle body type in Heroes of the Storm despite her look in all of their artwork and ingame model in wow.

Then we have GW who gave Celestine and the Geminae rectangle body types.
I suspect that all the sisters models will have the same body type as Celestine. I sold mine because I didn't like the way she looked. I prefer the female body type GW uses for all their other female models, Sisters of Silence look perfect to me and I had hoped GW would use that body type but they wont.

GW are going to use the Celestine body type, feminists and sjw will still complain about everything being sexist.

So here is what's going to happen, 100% guaranteed!
GW will show the design process, feminists and sjw who represent less than 1% of hobbyists will complain about everything all the way through. GW have already caved in and will make ugly rectangle bodied generic women with male faces to make them happy. Models will then sell like excrement and GW will have no idea why and blame it's customers for it.

On the other hand alternative sisters models will see an increase in sales by several hundred percent because they will be making the models that gamers actually want.


So the market for alternative sisters models is going to be stronger than ever because people are going to buy what they like the most.

I suspect the only models I'm going to buy from GW are penitent engines and other vehicles but will have to change the female models of alternative models. It's going to be interesting to see what GW do with repentia but I expect them to be fully clothed with rectangle bodies instead of the hourglass figure GW uses for all (currently on sale) other female models.

This is a sad day for sisters collectors like me, this is going to be one drawn out "mud"slide down the latrine. The feminists and sjws are going to make so much noise that "news" papers, social media and perhaps even politicians will be drawn into it by the 10 or so feminists and sjw claiming to be under attack by the nazi sexist misogynistic GW... GW have already caved in to these people so what we will get are rectangle male faced sisters or what is essentially female space marines.

We've now gotten plastic Baneblades, Titans, Harlequins, Genestealer Cults, Adeptus mechanicus, Necromunda and now Sisters of Battle before Eldar get plastic Aspect Warriors. Fething SQUATS are returning and I still don't have any alternative for those same bloody Striking Scorpions and Howling Banshees
