No. They ship overseas. Luckily for you overseas shipping isn't much more the NA but unluckily for you NA shipping is crazy expensive.

Even in the US, shipping for a single $30 set was $34 and I think shipping for 3 sets was $48. I really want the Black Plague stuff and would like a couple of the others, but not at that price

Luckily one of my friends backs all the CMON games and picks these up as well. I get to play it all without paying. I asked him about it as he ordered all the items and he did say it hurt, but trying to buy them later you wind up paying $100 for the models, so it's still just cheaper this route.

I do not understand how they have not leveraged MiniatureMarket.com (Who is also owned by Asmodee) to do the distribution for these. It might be what they are building towards as they just moved warehouses over the last few months and posted something about helping with Kickstarter fulfillment of smaller games.

No, I've ordered direct from CMON before (and waiting for things to ship hopefully before I die). I mean are the Thundercats hitting US retail only? I didn't know they were a thing so ordered from a local etailer months ago.

I'm a massive CMON fanboy playing almost exclusively CMON games these days.

This comics campaign is the first time they have made me feel treated the same way GW makes me feel treated as a customer: bad.

They've felt like they care as much for us as GW does for some time. They've been playing that FOMO card pretty hard, and fething people on shipping in several ways for several years now.

I recall a cuple of years ago someone else from AU and I trying to patiently explain to some feth head know it all from the US who thought they knew gak from clay that they did not in fact understand how Australia Post works better than we did when CMON had a dodgy not-do-little little postal price surcharge for different areas that are in the same Urban centres and postal/freight/everything zones.

I guess it might be one of the first times they're doing something similar to US customers?

The thing to remember is that we're effectively using their internal backerkit. it's a kickstarter without the kickstarting or kickstarter itself. It's just like the fake/manipulated stretch goals thing.

You're not paying for it to ship from Washington to Maryland or whatever, you're paying for it to get from China where it's produced to Washington and then to Maryland. Just like a KS campaign...

Not reprinting the first Comics keeps the resale value of those high, which in turn increases the number of people likely to order extra copies from them now to flip later, and forces more FOMO to the rest of us.

But then, shipping for the WHOLE lot isn't much more than for a couple. And the all-in bundle is only $5 more than getting all but Twilight Imperium, so may as well get that one as well even though you don't own the game, right...?
So.... just buy a few more. You can always flip the extras on eBay later...

That's how their current shipping game feels to me...

You're paying for this in any product not produced nearby but that cost is rolled into the product and not shipping. While I know the bulk shipping from China isn't more then maybe $2 right now per "widget" (based off of Comments Fredrick from Monolith about his shipping costs earlier this year) if CMoN, say, sold these sets at $10 more at $40-$45 and shipping was less at $15-30 would people be complaining as much? $45 is a good price for a comic and 8-10 minis now days and $15 isn't horrible shipping either for a single set. They'd not make as much off of single boxes but make way more off the full bundles.

Buy the base game pledge of a KS and don't give into FOMO. Been awhile since I checked, but, after shipping, a CMON base pledge plus shipping is about the same price as a base game plus two expansions. Anything else, I have plenty of other companies who want my money!

Anyway, Boardlandia has a warehouse sale, and ASOIF spotted! : https://boardlandia.com/collections/warehouse-sale?page=2&sort_by=title-ascending&view=view-48&grid_list=grid-view

Is Unlimited actually a good game? I only ask because in my experience, many CMoN KS really rely on the bucket of plastic.

I love the aesthetic but hasn't heard anyone in my board-game circles actually mention the game-play proper.

BGG'ers say that the base game doesn't have enough content for several games, and you'll want an expansion (of villains). Amazon often has the game (and sometimes expansions) on sale, so you can always buy the game that way.

I understand how retail works. What I'm saying is that in this case, they're running it like a Kickstarter, where the shipping costs for the retail products are rolled into what we pay as consumers. They're also leaning heavily into FOMO and I'm sure they're not taking a hot on the shipping. Quite the opposite, in fact...

It's fun game, and the rules are casual friendly. My friend's 8 year old played with us and had a blast. I think the X-men sets are a bit better designed than the first wave, as they have more individual powers, including ones that are automatically in your starting hand, which made the characters feel more like themselves. I played Colossus twice and he tanked like a beast (not Beast). The player options aren't super balanced with each other, but with that massive variety it would be difficult to achieve that. But I had fun with Spider-Ham, and he's apparently about the bottom of the barrel.

Definitely going all in on the third one. The models are quick and fun to paint and look great for PVC compared to some of their zombicide stuff which tries to pack too much detail in a material ill suited for it.

Seemed like that would be obvious. Why would they change art styles for the third in a series of chibi games?

I saw Marvel game and thought it was something else to do with Zombie version.

yeah, it's actually really quite good. I skipped the first one because I don't like Chibi and the game didn't look interesting in photos.
Much later I saw in the games section of Ozbargain that the 1st core box was on sale at Amazon with good reviews from a bunch of people. Thsi was at the exact time that the second campaign's pledge manager was running, so I took a gamble on the 1st game, tried it and we really enjoyed it so went all-in on the second one including all of the 1st KS' reprints, so given how much we've enjoyed it, we'll almost definately go in on this third campaign.

Are these and former KS exclusives likely to be available again during the next KS?

That Amazon link is overwhelming... which would be worth getting for maximum game-play value?

Doubt it. CMON almost never has a KS with previous KS promos. AFAIK, The only time they did this was a "Time Vault" KS that was made to get rid of promo stock. (And it did not go well, because it was "first come, first serve".)

> That Amazon link is overwhelming... which would be worth getting for maximum game-play value?

The $18 MU bundle. You could wait until the KS to confirm that the exclusives in this bundle and the other expansions are not included, but others will, too.

EDIT: Base game down to $10, bundle up to $21 : https://www.amazon.com/s?k=marvel+united&i=toys-and-games&ref=nb_sb_noss

During the X-men United KS try had the previous exclusives available, and they did the same with the latest Cthulhu Death May Die KS. It might be a likely scenario they do it once again.
