Is White Death an Asian setting? The Walkers have the look, and the first survivior is named "Sarnai"... google says:

"Meaning of Sarnai: Name Sarnai in the Mongolian origin, means Rose. Name Sarnai is of Mongolian origin and is a Girl name. People with name Sarnai are usually Buddhism by religion."

I'm liking everything so far... May be the first CMON project I back since Black Plague...

I'm thinking it is medieval Russian aesthetic which would be so awesome.

The attire of the walkers seems to support this.

Yeah, it's very Kievan Rus.

I'm hoping for some bears, this feels like a good setting for an expansion focused on animals

I am liking it either way. Will save some money for this.

Zc:WD design diary 1

https://cmon.com/news/zombicide-white-death-design-diary-1-welcome-to-wintergrad

White Death introduces intelligent humanoid-animal-hybrid species. Meet Lorna from the mystical canine people called Kenshan, and Ogon, one of the Khanra, the cat people. They don’t have any sort of special rules players have to remember. They are just cool.

In Zombicide: White Death, Survivors cannot flee anymore, as the city is surrounded by Zombies. They have to resist, which is a different take on the Zombicide theme. The new setting introduces a snow-covered urban area with medieval ramparts with corresponding special rules!

Huge walls separate the board in several areas, preventing free passage for the survivors... and the Zombies. These ramparts can be climbed upon, using either stairs or rope ladders. Players can move and fight on Battlement Walkways on top of ramparts.

Zombies, mindless as they are, cannot use rope ladders. To get on top, they have to use stairs . Occasionally however, a special “Zombie Siege!” card allows Zombies to climb and cross Ramparts in a fit of rage! Also, undead as they are, Zombies standing on top of Battlement Walkways can harmlessly fall to pursue their prey.

But the Survivors also get some new tricks. They can find Cauldrons to place on Battlement Walkways and throw hot tar at Zombies below, eliminating everyone there.

And finally (for now), being in a winter-themed environment comes with perks . The new Freeze mechanic allows Survivors to temporarily immobilize Zombies.

Not interested or a fan of the Animal Characters. I liked BP as it was more low fantasy providing a Horror element.

Same here. Hopefully it is just the first round of the 80+ heroes that are likely.

I almost wonder if these were going to be models for Wrath of kings and then CMON decided again that it won't get a reboot.

I dont think they are Wrath of Kings models as the images they have human fee. The Wrath of Kings Animals were Digitigrade.

if the Animals were Digitigrade like the Wrath of king models, I would be happier. Not a fan of the human legs and feet.

Was the Shael Han tiger guy digigrade? I dont have the tiger guy and the art I see on-line is hard to tell. The Kitsune guys are easy to spot though.

I also wonder if the White DEath guy will be human size or Ogre size.

yes, he was Digitigrade. if they went with Wrath of Kings Werewolves AKA Wolfen, I would definitely be more satisfied. Create Zombification's of the Miniatures and or Abominations...you would definitely have more enthusiasm.

Per facebook comment:

Cmon confirmed on insta that in the core box its just these two hybrids

Cat people with cat people legs is so much better. I wish I'd picked up the Wrath of Kings Tiger guy while he was available.

What size are White Death Zombicide figs typically? Obviously it could change along with the style suddenly but I figured I'd ask.

Going to break the anti furry sentiment combo and give both a thumbs up. I like them.
Didn't think I need more zombicide, but I'm liking what I see.

I will echo the sentiment that I'd prefer the Wrath of Kings style animal folk though. Then again I'd happily advocate for just about more of anything related to Wrath of Kings, as I felt it was a really nice tabletop experience. Interesting factions, gameplay, and art design.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I mean... it's a CMoN Kickstarter. Even if there's 40 furry PC characters there'll still be another 60 non-furries. And I'd assume that the BP/GH heroes would still be cross-compatible, though lacking any newer skills added.

Are we still thinking there will be a "not GOT" aspect?

Down Under

The "furry" character will add a few more people who want to get into the campaign for their Tabaxi or Kitsune D&D characters.

Following that line of thought, I wont be surprised to see some bird people (Kenku and Arakokra) and rabbit folk (Harengon) possible. Turtle peeps (Tortles) could swing either way with TMNT homages but I will be suprised if we see the elephant people (Loxidons).

Glory is fleeting. Obscurity is forever.

Thanks. Most of the time I'm looking at minis nowadays for RPG purposes so I don't want them way out of scale with what I already have.

Well the box art show 2 more heroes and an Abomination, possibly more, but luckily only the 2 furries.
