I'd buy the orc bounty hunter in resin. That sculpt is perfect.

Heck if I were you I'd consider doing a kser for a 75mm version like you see a lot of European sculptors doing. Just design a display base and you're good to go.

I would prefer the full boxed game with PVC plastic minis.

HM, it would depend on the quality of the PVC, tbh.

Although this days, I'd rather be able to buy the models to print them myself ^^

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Aye depends on the PVC quality, but I'm leaning that way simply because I won't really have anywhere else to use pulp/noir fantasy models except this game system, and I like to keep costs down on systems I'm going to have to evangelise for in case I can't get them to stick locally.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

I have zero interest in getting them in PVC, so I'd be happy with a resin release.

The idea is that we were going to offer the minis in high res 3D printed resin, and then the full board game would have the same characters in in PVC.. the plastic minis would be slightly less detailed due to them being PVC, but we would only be working with a company that can give us high quality minis. We are likely going to go with Ludo Fact in Germany.

But now it is looking like we may need to make an update to some sculpts so that they can be 1 piece minis for the board game, so we might need to have alternate poses for some. The resin minis would have crisper detail, and are more like a "collector's" version. Depending on the size of the mini I think they will be around $8-10 each, and a high res 3D print, not cast resin.

I thought offering those resin minis now would be a good way to recoup some of the production costs, but I wasn't sure if people would just buy those and then not be interested in the board game once it's ready. But since they are also going to cost a lot more then mass produced minis, I figured most people would just be picking and choosing a few of their favorites.

And actually, when we eventually get our own 3D printer, we plan to offer a print on demand service for all of our minis, where you can get them in any size you want.. 15mm, 54mm, whatever. That wont happen for a while, but we'll get there some day.

I certainly think putting out the resins before the game might well reduce your audience for the game (even with alternate poses) from anybody who'd have just been interested in it for just the minis

but on the other hand it is good advertising (eg Wander the Cult of Barnacle Bay from Panda Cult Games) put out alt stat cards for the metal sculpt of their characters as an optional buy so if you could do something like that (and have them balanced to the game) it would give incentive for folk who had the minis to get the game as there would be added value in terms of a different (slightly) gameplay experience

Here is the next Runerunners hero, the Goblin Inventor. He can shoot his retractable claw to snatch loot away from unsuspecting villains.

Probably the first miss for me. Pose looks really strange and combined with the expression it looks like he's posing for a photo to be put on social media.

He just reminds me there's a new Mary Poppins movie coming out this Christmas in place of a good movie, which makes me sad-mad.

But really, he looks well sculpted . I'm sure someone will highlord over him.

I love the Kobold Enforcer and he is the first one I would buy solo. That said I think I would be more likely to buy the game if I hadnt already cherry picked all my favorite minis, even though I prefer resin to PVC. If the game rules are really good then maybe that wont be a problem.

Subscribed to the thread for now, I look forward to hearing more.

Done and done! Kobolds tend to be a bit smaller than I prefer, but we'll take what we can get.

I'm missing the Mary Poppins reference though. The barb wire baseball bat perhaps?

If that's what Ms. Poppins brought to the table than perhaps it's high time I actually watch the movie for once...

Maybe my babysitter just told me that movie was Mary Poppins. "Get back in your room and be quiet or I'll make you watch Mary Poppins!"

Pretty easy conversion to make him Mary Poppinsish, you just have change the bat to a chimney sweeper

Who in their right mind hires a Kobold as an enforcer? Faeries? Gnomes?

I know nice attire was a thing back in the 20s, but he looks more like a bookie to me. How about a dwarves fence, a proprietor of a pawn shop with an eye for the eclectic, if not dubious of ownership. Melts down and recrafts jewelry and heirlooms.

Thanks.. we don't have a date set yet, but thinking "spring" .. We need to get our current KS projects finished and shipped out, and then this one still needs a lot of work.. the initial sculpts are almost done, but we have lots of artwork to do for things like the game boards and cards and stuff. Want to be able to show off how the final game will look before we can do a KS to finish it.

I thought gnolls looked like hyenas. He looks more like a werewolf cop. Pretty cool mini, though.

And now I want to see the movie Werewolf Cop.

PS: It's minor, but one of my pet peeves is that the mini doesn't have the distinctive Carnassiel "cheek" teeth you'd see on a hyena or wolf.

I like the mini, but also agree that's a wolf cop. Rounding the ears, making the fur on the face shorter, and somehow showing the signature gnoll mane would help make it more "gnoll-y".

Hmm .. we can probably change it. I always thought gnolls were more wolf-ish? but i don't think it would be too tough to update it.
