I like the Nids and Admech lists, definitely a different take.

The Chaos one... not so much. Pretty much the same one thats been tearing up ITC; a ton of fearless, rerolling cultists, some excellent psychic support, and a third battalion of whatever the hell ya want.

Thanks for sharing! Was a fun read

Let me tell you something - playing against armies with 200+ models is not fun. It's not spicy.

Was hoping to see some harlequin combos that used leadership as a weapon. Or like an choas list that used warptalons or something. 200 cultists isn't even different - it is the norm. Cultists aren't even a cool unit how does it show up on someone list of spice.

The admech list I'll give you is different - but it's not doing anything smart - its just like - hey! Lets throw 3 armies together with absolutely no reason in competitive play.

This would be a more scathing indictment if I believed for one second you had any significant knowledge about competitive play. From what I can tell, your only real expertise boils down to "Spess Mehreens are the suck".

At Triumpgh GT and ATC with the GsC list I finished most of my games with 45 minutes or more on the clock. The only time I didn’t finish was from my opponent. If you practice your turn shouldn’t go pass 32 minutes. Then it goes a lot faster...

This is assuming you WANT to finish your games. If the goal is to run out the clock before your opponent can shift your massive block of dudes there are plenty of ways to be inefficient without actually slow-playing that would drive game times WAY up.

Man what is up with the personal attack man?

Cultists aren't spicy. They are a roadblock unit. There is nothing interesting about that.
Taking 3 detachments which don't synergize at all is not spicy. It's dumb. Competitive play is about making smart lists - not doing dumb things.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Holy crap that chaos list. I would rather eat my own flesh than watch someone take their turn moving 236 chaos cultists.

Well, the first step for improvement is recognizing this, Xeno. Second step is realising that blaming a codex other people are consistently winning with for your own poor performance, is one of those dumb things.

P.S.A. I won't read your posts if you break it into a million separate quotes and make an eyesore of it.

Did those lists change? Or did the Admech one suddenly become Admech/Sisters/Knights instead of Admech/Sisters/Marines? I'd swear last time I read that article there were Marines in there.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Yes I changed the list as the player in question did not want his list posted up giving away all his shenanigans, so i replaced it with a similar list with the same ideas

How do you get two stormbolters in a Retributor squad?

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...

Im guessing that was a mistake and has been rectified as a new list pack has been released but not sure without checking
