The article: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/09/09/next-week-canis-rex-rides-forth/

Inside the Knight Preceptor Canis Rex set, you’ll find everything you need to build any one of seven Knight variants, with every frame from the Knight Gallant set included in the box. That’s your choice of Crusader, Warden, Gallant, Paladin, Errant, Preceptor or Canis Rex itself in one box.

It’s not just massive weapons – the Knight Preceptor frame also features components that let you add interior detail and pilots to your Knights in glorious plastic for the first time ever.

Canis Rex, as a Freeblade, can be added to ANY Imperial Knights army without stopping you from receiving your Household Traditions. In battle, Canis Rex fights like a Knight Preceptor, with the added benefits of a super-powered thunderstrike gauntlet and the ability to jettison pilot Sir Hekhtur to keep fighting even after his Knight is destroyed.

And for those people who kept shouting it was disgusting etc, here's the much requested and anticipated decals for the other houses:

More Knights is always nice. But the lack of a Las-impulsor and Gatt cannon combo loadout, as well as restricting the Multi laser to the Preceptor is even more odd when the box contains the parts to make every Questoris variant.

AT THE SAME PRICE AS BEFORE
So, how much will this kit cost you?
Almost nothing more than the Knight Gallant. We’ve squeezed all this good stuff into the box at minimal additional cost. Nice, eh?

I'm guessing all the cheaper boxes of this size class of Knight are getting discontinued, so "the same price as before" is a stealth price hike for everything other than Canis Rex.

Good thing this shouldn't be on any limited time discount box. Can't afford yet with ork release incoming but def want one. I wanted 3rd warden kit knight anyway so might just as well get this one for max flexibility. Hope the preceptor and canis rex are reasonable to magnetize along with rest.

The Paladin and Errant are already web store exclusives. So I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rex/Preceptor box as the only Questoris kit on brick and mortar shelves in the future.

It'd be a $3 difference here in the US between the Warden and Canis Rex.
$20 between the Errant and this box.

The Errant kit has remained around despite the Warden being here. Only one I could see going away is the Warden.

So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Ill gladly pay $3 for the added preceptor sprue. You get a model on foot for 1/10 the price of most clampack characters, and a full cockpit plus gun arm thrown in for free. Bet ebay sellers will be charging far more than $3 for it.

You miss the point.

When this announced they said no extra cost.
When they misprinted the AUD/NZ prices in WD, they confirmed that this was a mistake and that it would be the same cost as the other Knight.

Now it's just a "little more".

This is based off the assumption that the US price quoted in the WD isn't wrong.

Either way it's more than before. Though unless it's dramatically MORE than what WD claims it's still well worth it so complaining about it is silly. Especially as there's not evidence previous ones goes out of sale. Same idea was proposed when warden kit came out but last time I checked original is still on sale.

You're right.

It's silly to complain about something costing more after being told that it was going to cost the same. Twice.

I would chalk up original statement to be the one erroneous. Would be pretty weird for making new mould and pay tons of money(literally) and not ask anything for it. Especially as being on part of existing kit will cut sales a bit as not all want yet another knight(certainly I'm on the edge of do I want to buy it. I don't really need yet another questor class knight...) so recouping price of that mould is going to be harder than recouping price of original knight moulds(not helped by rules being lackluster)

But yeah. 3$ on 100$+ kit is going to drive you to bankrupcy I'm sure.

If you want to dismiss a legitimate grievance ("This will be free... LOL! Kidding! It's not free!") as whining, then go right ahead. Plus now I'm hearing that the price in WD was 100% not an error, and was only described as such after the feedback from FW raising their prices.

Heh. I thought this was a parody of "Literally nothing more than the Knight Gallant. We've squeezed all this good stuff into the box at no additional cost. Nice, eh?" (Given the apparently huge disappointment that some are feeling in this thread). But no, that's exactly what it says.

It's split across three codex books by now, though IIRC the now out of print artbook they released alongside the first codex had a full list of what each meant.

These are from the current codex:

Article up: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/09/11/11th-sept-canis-rex-the-chainbreakergw-homepage-post-3/

Canis Rex is available for pre-order this weekend, but just who is this Sir Hekhtur chap, and what exactly is the cut of his jib?

Well, for starters, the fact that Sir Hekhtur is the first Imperial Knight model to come with a separate pilot miniature on foot tells you he is not a foe to underestimate – someone stoic enough, should he suffer the inconvenience of his Knight armour being destroyed in battle, to climb out of the wreckage and take the fight to the enemy on foot. Let’s investigate the history of this fabled Freeblade Knight in a bit more detail…

Sir Hekhtur is a Noble scion of House Cerberan, a knightly house based on the knight world of Randoryn Alpha. Or was…

When the Iron Warriors attacked Randoryn Alpha in great force, not even the combined might of House Cerberan could keep the relentless traitor Legion at bay. One by one, House Cerberan’s Knights were destroyed – or even worse, disabled and captured – by the Sons of Perturabo. The Knight pilots who survived were imprisoned and horrifically tortured until nothing of their former selves remained. All except one. Neither pain nor incarceration could break the spirit of Sir Hekhtur. He endured torments that would overwhelm even the transhuman physiology of the Adeptus Astartes, for Hekhtur’s will was unbreakable. Whether by the will of the Emperor or the latent sentience of his Throne Mechanicum’s former occupants, the pilotless Canis Rex tore free from its own bondage and fought its way to Sir Hekhtur’s side.

United with his Knight suit once more, Sir Hekhtur fought his way clear of the Iron Warriors and made good their escape aboard a captured transport with as many surviving Sacristans and former vassals of House Cerberan as he could save. It was for this daring escape and the rescue of his allies that Sir Hekhtur earned the moniker “Chainbreaker”.
