A good suggestion ... for now I'm okay while the KS is running to get ideas here ... I'll transfer them all to any new thread I create once the KS is over.

My Dakka fu is weak though ... what forum subgroup would that best be in?

Probably Dakka Discussions - like you said though, no problem keeping it all here while the Kickstarter is running

There's sadly nothing in this one that I'm interested in... but what a fantastic idea! Jolly good show, Impact, for putting it together.

Thank you!

I honestly had no idea how well it would do. I mean all of these are minis from lines that were discontinued for one reason or another ... that is not normally a recipe for sales potential! ;-)

So I'm really glad to see the project so close to Stretch Goal #2 and so many people trying to give me leads to try for a sequel.

If it's not out of your size range, this one would be a good candidate for resurrection - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/604055223/mortian-battle-tank

It funded, but was a 'one and done' affair, and there were a few disappointed would-be buyers who missed the Kickstarter.

That is awesome and very much outside the size I normally work in. ;-)

So I did some research. Woogity did sculpt those ... but no one has heard from him since May of 2017. And his message board is filled with people trying to buy these minis without him responding. http://www.lustria-online.com/members/woogity.13359/ ... Unfortunately this means that messaging him through this forum will get me no where as he has gone full MIA. These were 3-D sculpts which is great ... but unfortunately he printed them through Ownage which is so large ... the odds that they could help with finding the artist is low as well (I've had luck with small casting companies helping me reach the source).

[EDIT] I wrote all that above and then did a lot more digging and found him. I've messaged him and we'll see what happens. I'll update if I hear from him.
Bravo! I didn't expect you'd track these down for us big lizard lovers, very much appreciated and well done

Mortis Logan did some great paint jobs on these miniatures that are part of our new KickStarter running right now and I wanted to show them off! These are from the game Dawn of the Archmage that failed to fund on KickStarter. These great miniatures and 100 others are available on the project ending in a week. Come on by and check them all out!

Yes, please do make a thread. I have some.

Also does anyone have clearer pictures of the elf samurai? They've peaked my interest but the pic is not the best quality and I don't quite know what I'm getting. They look Sci-fi but I'm not sure.

yep. I follow him on Facebook. Currently doing some resculpts I believe as there was some new art from just a week or so ago.

There used to be more of those elves on troll forged miniatures, right? I've been tempted to get them for a while.

There used to be yes. But Troll Forged Miniatures permanently closed in August this year.

Good day Backers. We've entered the last week of the KickStarter and I'm happy to announce that we unlocked Stretch Goal #3!

This means:
• Keeper of History ($100) funds increased to $106
•Trusted Guide ($150) funds increased to $161
•Flawless Navigator ($200) funds increased to $216
•Master Explorer ($250) funds increase to $273.

Stretch Goal #4 will unlock at $10000 and will add additional funds to the 7 non-Heartbreaker reward levels from Fact Finder ($25) and up!

In addition for this Stretch Goal we unlocked adding in 2 miniatures I've been asked multiple times to get included into the project. In the Torn Armor KickStarter there were three 150mm Behemoths. Giant miniatures. For this KickStarter I had one of the three from the start (the Rhino Warrior) but I shrunk him down to 52mm to make him affordable and he was a solid figure that would survive shrinking.

That left the War Elephant and the Moriarty's Bell (a Gnome driven mechanical war machine).

The War Elephant has massive spikes and at 150mm would be like $900 to make. The problem was that some of the spikes would not survive shrinking. So with Stretch Goal #3 coming I worked with a sculptor and we removed any spikes that would not survive shrinking on the War Elephant. Then I looked up Elephant and found that regardless of species, 10 feet to the shoulder is a possible norm. Nice round number that. Using 32mm scale ... that converts roughly to 60mm. So I shrunk the Elephant down to that. He is still very pricey just due to the sheer bulk of the model but I can now offer it as part of the KickStarter.

That left Moriarty's Bell. The details on the machine work and railings are fine ... to the point that making the machine at a reduce size would just require me to wipe out a lot of the important detailing of the miniature. So to avoid that ... I cut it into 7 pieces along with 3 Gnome Drivers and added all the supports needed to print it at full size. I have no idea if anyone will want it ... but this one is being offered as per the original design of 155mm in height and some assembly required.

Last but definitely not least

Several companies and podcasts has shouted about about this project without me even contacting them! Geeks of the North, Beasts of War, SolarFlare Games, BothDown, Plastic Krack Minis, Southern Shrike Bowl ... thank you and if I missed anyone from scrolling through my Facebook share notifications ... many apologies and thank you as well!

And one very big thank from me for today. Thank you Reaper Miniatures!

https://www.backerkit.com/projects/674003445/impact-miniatures-presents-the-lost-ks-mini-projec

Reaper Miniatures gave this project a shout out on Wednesday and it brought in about an extra $1000 over normal for just that day and is still bringing late eyes to this project. So thank you very much for that. Stretch Goal #3 is now unlocked right now due to that push and it very greatly appreciated!

Okay one week left ... and a push to Stretch Goal #4 and I'll see if I can dig up any more miniatures to add to the project beyond the increased added funds to backers!

Tom @ Impact!

So.. is the Heartbreaker stuff available on Impact's site right now, or only through this KS?

I think it's available, but without the discount. $33ish as opposed to $25 per set?

I have the sets on my website for $35 each. Through the KickStarter as a special deal for just while the KickStarter was running you can get the sets for a small discount at $33 but every 2nd set is only $25. So the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th sets you get are $33 but the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th and 10ths sets are $25.

The Hearbreaker deals will not be available for Late Backers.

I thought that, say the $50 deal would net a pledger a $25 heartbreaker kit and 25 on other (non heartbreaker) items, and that $100 got two $25 heartbreaker sets and $50 to spend on other items. Is there a mandatory purchase of a $33 heartbreaker army for each $25 heartbreaker regardless of what else a pledger spends?

The answer to the Inquisitor's question may end up seeing me bump my pledge up as well...

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Are those three worms from the Aleutian Swamp Worms put out by Tony Reidy a few years ago?

If so... any chance you'd find the STL files that were offered for the Battle Eggs? Those I would definitely buy a set of. Or two.

Those worms existed before the Defiance Games version, and I believe they are different sculpts (although I'm not 100% sure).

Wow, we'd really be coming full circle if the battle eggs ever made it to the market in some manner.

I'd buy one just on principal.

Can I get some more information about the origin of the Battle Eggs?

The Heartbreaker deals allow you to use half of the money you pledge to get ANYTHING you want from the project.

So using the $200 Heartbreaker reward level:

1) You get 4 Heartbreaker armies for $100 as part of it
2) You than have $100 to spend on anything you want.
So you could pick up 1 more Heartbreaker army for $33 (if you actually needed a 5th army) and then you could also pick up $67 of any of the miniatures in the project (like maybe a set of Wizard's Academy wizards for $45, a set of Samurai Elves for $17 and an Apeman Monk for $5)

Hope that helps explain how the Heartbreaker reward level works.

I'm assuming these https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/defiancegames/28mm-power-armor-hardsuits-defiance-games

While awesome I don't know if anyone wants to try and summon Tony back into the game space considering he's such a con artist.

Speaking of STLs. I saw Drake and Drake 2 on your list of things you're going to look into. Benji promised backers the STLs of the files from the game once things fell apart. Only delivered on one. While it might not do your company much good to pass along the STLs if you do manage to come to an agreement with Benji I'd be willing to pay for some of them.

Defiance was so murky i'd be really wary of picking up anything associated with them in case it wasn't actually something they were entitled to sell,

given that the actual design was licenced (if I remember right), was the artist actually paid in full, was the licence time limited or in any way transferable, is any of it still tied up in dormant law suits etc

and similarly for whoever did the 3D work, was it somebody employed by defiance or a 3rd party contractor who might still have a claim etc

KK: is it ok if I just answer Impact!'s question? It was never my intention to gripe about Defiance.

Impact!: The designs were from an artist called flyingdebris on Deviant Art https://www.deviantart.com/flyingdebris he might know if/where the STL exist.

Just a fun picture as we start heading into the final 2 days!

I was able to successfully print a Hwacha last night and the arrows are very nice and stable. We are currently fostering 16 kittens for our local animal shelter and several are still on the bottle. Mallow wanted his bottle so he got in on the picture. Because I was feeding kittens I didn't do the best glue job ... so apologies up front for that. But the model looks really good ... after seeing it this morning ... I plan on printing one at double scale just because I think it would look really cool on my desk! I had a couple Hero Forge models I was hired to print yesterday that I put next to it for scale (kitten left in for 2nd scale reference)
