Took the words out of my mouth.

More likely more Ork hype followed by silence though...

I'm hoping for the tease or confirmation of either:

1. The release date in 2019 of the new sisters of battle.

2. Either Fires of Cyraxus or Adeptus Custodes heresy units to 40k. Or both.

3. The revisions of currently under performing codexes such as grey knights.

4. New plastic astra militarum Regiments.

5. Something new.

Gonna be honest here...I'd rather we get an updated Infantry Squad and Heavy Weapons Teams set before we go into new Regiments. That means ruleswise and model content wise.

Guard, conceptually, need a bit of a rework. The Elysian list had a lot of really good ideas there that should be pulled from.

I anticipate that GW won't do anything substantial with the Cadians or IG. GW will probably just expand upon Scions as they get setup as the prevailing force of "standard" humans being used by Guilliman, having access to few new units because of that. And when people ask them about IG those players will be directed to this part of the model range rather than the standard IG and candians.

Honestly, I didn't expect them to do much with the 'old' Fire Warriors. That's what I'm expecting: a new loadout, refreshed kit, and some stuff being swapped around that don't really invalidate old builds.

Why not both? Essentially, three infantry kits and a couple of characters are all you need for a new regiment. Redo the Cadian look and you're going to have to do all of those more or less in one go just the same. Might as well shine the spotlight on another regiment, what with the whole fall of Cadia thing and whatnot. And even GW can't not have noticed how popular greatcoat infantry could possibly be.

No, why would there be? Unlike in 7th the traitor legions already have their rules in the CSM codex.

If they did that sort of refreshed kit, I'd guess the additional "other unit" would be some form of veterans... explained as those that fought and survived Cadia.

I mean, are these IG ideas for real? We've had no rumours of such models right? Quite literally baseless.

I suspect it'll be the 40k version of Wrath and Rapture, Blackstone Fortress information and possibly a tie in to a campaign with Fulgrim/EC release.

Vigilus at least has Orks who are really enjoying themselves deathracing. One might say.....excessively.

if GW previews have taught us anything, it's not to overhype ourselves too much.

I don't know if it'll be a Genestealer spread though. The release would presumably edge into December and we all know they don't really like putting stuff out then.

 Girthquake wrote:

With the Legions receiving rules in C:CSM, it's pretty much what was in the Traitor Legions book made 'core'. World Eaters and Emperor's Children will inevitably get their standalones eventually of course.

I hope we will at the very least hear something specific about the new GSC codex at least...I don't want to go through TWO Chapter Approved releases while still stuck in a broken index limbo.

We've had art making appearances for quite some time actually. There's a few spreads where we have Cadians with carapace armor rocking Hellguns that are post-Scions.

I suspect it'll be the 40k version of Wrath and Rapture

40k's version of "Wrath and Rapture" is "Wrath and Rapture". The product is billed as "Realm of Chaos: Wrath and Rapture".

I was just about to say isn’t it gonna be the same thing as it’s all daemons.
(To be fair, this is why I said it shouldn’t have been in the AoS thread and should have it’s own Thread..)
