Kabuki carry on pumping out models with use for several other games. This is their third attempt at this particular sculpt, and they do get better each time it must be said. The helmeted edition will probably be the preorder plus first 50 sales only.

So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Not a fan. Not at all. I like Fulgrim, but this model? Bleh.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Wow that sword is...probably not what the artist originally envisioned.

FEAR MY NOODLEBLADE!

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

That's not a khopesh. Khopesh is a type of sabre, well suited to drawn cuts. This garbage he is holding? It would never cut due to the tip being at wrong angle, at best you could bash with it like with a mace - albeit terrible one because angle would actively work against putting any good force in there by putting all the load on your wrist

We're working in a fantasy universe where people murder each other with giant Hellboy fists and the tanks have sponsoons. A khopesh style blade with an inefficient tip is hardly beyond the realms of believability; not when it's wielded by a nine foot demi-God possessed by a demon from another dimension.

If I was going to pick fault with anything, it would be the amount of hair gel he must be using.

I know what a kopesh is and the one Not-Fulrgim is wielding is probably the worst looking kopesh I have seen.

Any chance of dumping the cack Fulgrim knockoff and getting just the broken angel statue? That part actually looks quite nice.

The tip is pretty minor. The major break in the steel six inches past the hilt is the issue (and he's a duelist and that 'hilt' is worse than useless for protection in a swordfight).

But it honestly looks like an error in the join (that you glue the blade together there), and whoever assembled the model just failed.
The raised center for each piece and the valley between them at the hard angle (which should be a curve) just emphasize how bad it is.

Did Fulgrim Just Behead Ferrus?

Fort Worth, TX

As desperate as I am for an alternative Fulgrim (I just don't like FW's jumping and screaming action pose, I love Egan's alternative sculpt they wouldn't release), this is not it. Setting the sword aside, as I could easily swap that, too many parts of the model just look off to me. The shoulder-pad eagle looks too small and blunt, his head seems too small, etc.

Seen khopesh before and this does not look like one.

The blades balance is off. With the khopesh the blade does curve out and then back to the center line from the hilt.
The fauxpesh just continues moving outward at an angle from the joint. So it ends up looking off and not fitting of a reputation of perfection.

I'm back!

Under the couch

Yeah, this is a rare swing-and-a-miss from Kabuki. The proportions are all over the place, the 'sword' is ridiculous, the face is lopsided and the windswept cloak and hair not carrying over to the rest of the model just makes it look weird...

I like the detailing on the armour, though.

This thread has me in Tears.

He's grotesque! Pumping is the right word "just let me dab that off for you with my robe".

Also, I'm not sure if it's the angle, but the helmet eyes appear to be at different levels, yet his unhelmed one isn't. Admittedly having one eye slightly lower/higher than the other is actually normal for a person, I'm just not sure that it's intentional.

He's also got a bit of a pin-head, the legs don't help that effect; massive wrestlers thighs.

*Moar edits*

It gets worse, the top of his crotch-cloth has a South park alien face.

Ah yes, the famous "foot nonchalantly over some crawling, struggling, naked woman's ass" pose, such a classic!
