I know GZ had various power levels over the years in his various incarnations.
Starting with his weakest up to whatever super version there was do you think he could take down a Warlord Titan?

Aye, quiet day in work here.

Hanoi, Vietnam.

Quiet indeed. It's quiet here too...

By virtue of the fact that he's a protagonist as well as being unique, I'm going to have to go with GO-JI-RA!!!

He may not be as powerful as a Warlord Titan, but his plot armour must be stronger.

Shin godzilla cuts warlord titan in half with plasma beam weapon. Titan shields hold up for maybe 2.705 seconds.

It totally depends on the weather and radioactive levels of the battle.

Godzilla becomes indestructible with enough radioactive exposure and or lightning bolts.

Though he is susceptible to volcano cannons.

A few thoughts:

1) Godzilla's mobility is often very variable. In some forms (esp the USA film and animated series) godizlla is very mobile and active, which would make him much more able to dodge, weave and sneak up (in a city) on a Warlord. Meanwhile at other times he's very ploddy and slow and, whilst rather like an unstoppable force of nature, it would mean the Warlord could feasibly avoid close combat and walk backwards whilst continuing to fire.

2) Power Breath is exceptionally variable and could be anything from reflecting off the powerfields of a warlord through to slicing it in two or punching vast holes in it. Another aspect is repeat shots; any shot that isn't a one-hit-kill leaves the Warlord able to retaliate with its own weapons.

3) Range. I would wager a warlord could engage and destroy or wound long before Godzilla can use its power breath or even contemplate attacking in close combat. Ergo in any open battlefield the Warlords ranged power has the edge in accuracy and range.
OF course the build up of a big urban area might negate this, so chances are a warlord would have to approach the battle in a scorched earth approach - level the whole city!

Personally Warlord VS Godzilla is a hard one; however if the Imperium brings forth its most mighty weapon upon the ground and unleashes an Imperator then, well, my money would be on the mighty Imperator!

Depends on do you ignore 40k fluff or not. While shields are active they are impenetrable. So depending on range of breath first blast is either 10v% inefficient(starts outshield shield range) or shields are useless(starts within shield buble)

So, the more recent incarnations of Godzilla puts him at 100+ meters, which is 3x the size of a Titan.

In terms of physical melee power, I think Godzilla would overwhelm the Titan and kick his teeth in. That being said, Godzilla would get nuked from ranged weaponry before he got to close combat. This would of course depend on battlefield terrain; ie, Godzilla needs lots of LOS blocking terrain to get into charge range without taking too much damage on the way in.

Godzilla clearly has a 2+ armor save, (but no invuln save), but he does have a 6+ FnP which increases to 4+ against electrical attacks and heals him for 1 wound for every FnP save he makes.

The other thing is that Godzilla doesn't have to deploy at the start of the battle. "Up from the Sea!" special rule: He is placed in tactical reserves, and on any turn after the 1st he can come onto the game board from any board edge of his choice. What's the definition of indestructible in this scenario though? It isn't like Godzilla has been fought with weapons from 40k. Is he indestructible vs a Russ Battle Cannon or also a Volcano Cannon too?

Godzilla has defeated Mecha-Godzilla and Super Mecha-Godzilla which basically like a 100+ tall robot with laser cannons, missiles and harpoons. He also defeated Ghigan which is basically a cyborg giant monster with giant saws for hands and eye laser cannons. I think the Warlord doesn't stand a chance.

I feel like Imperial gaurd is basically a modern military equivalent. Godzilla basically ignores modern military likes it's not even there. There is a scene in Godzilla 1985 where there are like 150 tanks on a ridge when hes coming into Tokyo - they are all shooting him doing 0 damage and a single swip of power breath destroys them all in a single pass. (this was after he ate a nuclear reactor though). Yeah I'll give you that a warlord has much more powerful weapons than that but it is possible those would bounce off too. We know that warlords aren't immune to things like battle tanks though - so we have to assume the Warlords defenses are not as good as Gojira.

My personal opinion is Godzilla can't lose. To anything. Plot armor too strong.

I could be wrong, but doesn't the film after he falls into volcano state that he was pretty much swimming around through the magma in the mantle? Even in Godzilla vs Super X Bicycle Helmet Jetfighter Special Team, Professor Scientist states that the volcano won't kill Godzilla, merely trap him.

Heisei Godzilla seems to be the most susceptible to giant robot weapons (Mecha Godzilla 3), and Heisei Godzilla defeated a black hole.

I seem to remember Godzilla screaming and feeling really sad when they tricked him into jumping into the volcano. American Doctor guy (who even as a child I thought was crazy and unreliable) I think said something like "He's not dead - Godzillia can't be killed". I'm thinking...nah hes dead. You are right though - it did say something like that.

Plot armor too strong is probably the most accurate statement to Godzilla, because a virus bomb exterminatus would likely kill godzilla and not the sealed titan. but now we are bringing in support from the outside

Lightning seems to revive Godzilla from anything. Virus bomb might kill him initially - but hell be back.

Yes, but all of Godzilla's powers and abilities fully rely on there being a Japanese scientist man somewhere on another camera shot who can explain to the aud-I mean, to someone what the ability is and why it works.

All the warlord titan has to do is deploy a mass anti-infantry weapon to defeat all Japanese scientists in the vicinity and Godzilla is helpless.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

Godzilla would likely start to shout the name of his abilities while he is about to use them or using htem like a shonen character in such a situation.

You forget two sets of humanoid beings who can't be killed by that method:

1. Mothra's fairies can materialize to explain things as necessary.

2. The Secretary General of the UN from Final Wars can do anything off camera. "How are you still alive?" "I survived the virus bomb somehow."

Battle of the Archeosaurs (Inferno #18, May 2000) is basically "Godzilla vs Adeptus Titanicus".

Honours in the story are about even; two titans take on two archeosaurs - one wins, one loses, but the winning titan manages to take out the winning archeosaur.

...then the rest of the archeosaur herd basically rolls over the surviving titan like a tsunami.

Original Godzilla is underestimated as the first one to show up, the Titan gets too close and Godzilla goes nuclear on it. Resulting titanic explosion kills them both.

1990’s American Godzilla is brought down with some pdf troops with autoguns. They burn Matthew Broderick as a heretic. Titans never get called in.

Modern American Godzilla shows up and some Titan Princeps wants to make a new Ravager heirloom melee weapon from his teeth. Modern Zilla gets torn up but regenerates and forces the Titan to withdraw after crippling weapon damage.

Early era Japanese Godzilla gets blown to bits because he’s slow and needs ten minutes to scream before doing anything.

Big hero era Japanese Godzilla gets torn up numerous times but his rapid regeneration lets him tank the damage. He calls in his monster support buddies to run interference while all the children yell out encouragement. Godzilla suplexes the Titan then lets it go with a stern warning.

Shin Godzilla outranges the Titan with sun-hot atomic lasers that can hit stealth bombers from miles away. He takes it down and eats its reactor, then evolves anti-starship weaponry. After a failed bombardment the planet is cordoned off, it belongs to him now.

Yeah that level of toughness isn't worry. I think any gun that can turn rock into magma outpowers submarine torpedoes.

Out of curiosity, never having seen any of the gozilla movies, how is it generally dealt with?
