I think it'd be cool if it turned out the Khan had been captured after chasing the Dark Eldar into the Webway and has spent the past 10,000 or so years forced to fight Gladiator style in the arenas of Comorragh. Khan on a 10,000 year undefeated streak would be awesome.

Ideally none if you ask me, but if one had to come, I'd vote for Wulfen Russ, acceptable is Vulcan or cloned Manus.

The Lion is my guess.

1. His location is already known like Guilliman.
2. Things aren’t quite desperate enough for the Wolves yet.
3. The Lion will meet with Cypher to get his sword back. He will then hear Cyphers side of the story.

I thought Omeagon was supposed to be the Grey knights Primarch or some silly rumor like that

Either way, one of the twins definitely bit it.

It was Alpharius that Dorn killed. The novel has PoV stuff from both Alpharius and Omegon meaning there is no creative ambiguity at play

I always secretly hoped that Khaine's Gate in Comorragh was not actually sealed against daemonic incursion but against a seriously narked-off Khan who has been hammering his way in ever since he chased the DE into the webway.

Which is very likely to put him at odds with Bobby G, thus create a potential for yet another Imperial civil war between those loyal to Bobby G and those loyal to the Lion.

Or not.

In the case of point 1, you mean known to the audience, right? I'm pretty sure that, in-setting, only the Watchers in the Dark know where the Lion sleeps tonight...

I think no matter who they choose, it needs to fulfil a couple of requirements...

1) Aesthetically speaking, it needs to be a true centerpiece model. Both of the Demon Primarchs do this really well. They just stand out as great models contrasting against the rest of a person’s army.

2.) It needs to stand alone as a LoW. The idea of a support buffing LoW is great. But GW limited Bobby G’s Best buff to a small fraction of army lists. That was a missed opportunity by GW. Both from a financial aspect and a gaming aspect. Again I reference the Demon Primarchs as an example. They work as a unit by themselves.

With those two conditions in mind, I think the Primarch needs to be a melee beatstick that gives a small buff to his chapter. The type of unit that is a fast moving hammer that the opponent has to deal with Round 1.

This maybe a stupid question, but anyone knows who was the primarch of grey knights? And no I don't think he is going to return. I would put my money on Russ or the Lion returning.

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

Firstly the Grey Knights are not one of the 20 original legions, nor an offshoot of one of them. The Grey Knights were founded from marines from various legions, including loyalists from traitor legions I believe, as such they did not have a Primarch.

How hard would it be for Azrael’s little watcher friend to tug on his coat tail and say i’ve got something to show you beneath the Rock. In a nutshell the Lion is easily accessible in a sense where all of the others who are lost are not. Plus aswell,he is just held in stasis, no need for anyone else’s intervention to bring him back to life.

I agree. After all this is more or less why Guilliman returned, his body was on display, they sold tickets to see him

I didn't think Grey Knights were founded from other marines. Is this a retcon? I only had the third edition codex, so anything after that, I don't know about. I thought the psykers they got used the geneseed from the emperor. Has this changed?

The Grey Knights origins were expanded upon in the Horus Heresy series. Originally they were a secret inserted in to the 2nd founding, when after the heresy they split up the legions into chapters, hence Chapter 666. The Emperor geneseed idea has always been fanfiction and their geneseed source never stated. The Horus Heresy series has expanded the lore, that near the end of the heresy a special daemon hunting force was founded under the auspices of Malcador the Sigilite. Basically Malcador, with the approval of the Emperor, set up a group that had experience with Daemons, as a training cadre with hundreds upon hundreds of suitable candidates from throughout the galaxy. They were set up on Titan and it was basically put in the warp and when they re-emerged it was during the 2nd founding. Apparently time pasted quicker for them as well, the original members were not alive when they emerged. The Inquisition slipped them into the 2nd founding to keep them secret. The inquisitors were founded and used to work directly under Malcador. The likes of Garviel Loken was one of the marines involved in their founding, so one of the Grey Knights Primarchs would be Horus .

Reading bits of the Codex where I figured there'd be info on Geneseed, all that's really said is that they had stocks of Geneseed. Probably collected by malcador from the purest stock. There's also a bit about the Geneseed being their bond to the emperor but the same could be said about all marines

The GK were special in that they became a newer founding chapter without the usual split from a parent chapter. Creating a totally new chapter without some OG characters from a parent chapter is rare (Primaris-only chapters aside).

When the GK were formed I know they had loyalists from the Death Guard, Thousand Sons, and Dark Angels. Perhaps a couple more chapters too. I'm thinking these guys were basically there for general training purposes to get the GK on their feet, until they had experienced veterans of their own.

The GK original mish-mash group was gifted with a super-secret stash of "don't ask me where I got it" geneseed to start things up.

I think the imperium should get one next... then fulgrim for sure; would be awesome to get an EC codex along with a slaneesh reboot. While its ny least favorite of the 4...

Russ would be pretty awesome to return, or The Lion.

I had forgotten about Cypher. I think his release alongside Guilliman makes the Lion the most likely loyalist Primarch to be next.

However, I think Fulgrim is most likely to be next, in all his daemonic, snakey glory.
