Hbomberguy - some of his stuff is left wing political but he also does non-political examinations of video games and media (his Bloodborne video about play conditioning is excellent, as is his video on the effect that VHS had on how we view film). Also, his Serious Lore Analysis video on the ctrl+alt+del Loss comic is phenomenal. His recent video on Flat-Eartherism is also pretty great. Hail Sobek!
Lindsay Ellis - some great film analysis here, ranging from the history of particular films (all the different films made of beauty and the beast for example), to videos on stuff like death of the author, product placement and fair use, how corporate entities try to manufacture authenticity in their advertising and a multi-video series examining the Transformers franchise under film theory (such as auteur theory, feminist theory etc.).
OSWReview: podcast where some irish lads review wrestling shows, typically looking at specific arcs (their first was Hulkamania and they're currently riding the Lex Express). The early reviews aren't as good as they hadn't found their voice but once you get the holy trinity of Jay, OOC and V1 it quickly improves. They're very funny in my opinion and you can learn quite a bit about what was going in the background of some of these time periods. For their reviews of current wrestling stuff they usually have Maffew from Botchamania as a guest.
Terrible Writing Advice: tongue in cheek videos about writing fiction, filled to the brim with love triangles, superfluous side characters and lots of terrible advice.
Extra Credits: great analysis of the video game industry and games themselves. As mentioned their Extra History videos are excellent (and if in doubt, it was Walpole).
LittleKuriboh: Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged, obviously, but he also has the Mark Remark which is a tongue in cheek wrestling review show (not current, is from a while back but he's gonna do a one-off of this year's wrestlemania, I've heard) and Watches Yu-Gi-Oh GX in which he watches an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh GX and then reviews it, especially the arses of the summoned monsters.
PennyArcadeTV: there's Penny Arcade The Series which is a little documentary series showing you behind the scenes of PA, including the run up to PAX which is pretty cool. Also Acquisitions Incorporated and the 'C' Team for some DnD goodness.

I watch alot of various stuff on Youtube, mainly history and gaming related.
My favourite channel at the moment is Squidge Rugby, I find his level of analysis amazing especially how quickly he analysis a game and gets a video out.
I just wish he would slow the text jokes down so I could read them without pausing the video.

Military History Visualised, and Military History Not Visualised to a lesser extent (excelent, in-depth videos about battle strategy, tactics, logistics, and organisation, good humour too)
Overly Sarcastic Productions (not seen these folks mentioned- funny videos about mythology, literature, and history- the mythology stuff is especially great. Nice animation style)
Extra History (I've not got round to watching the Extra Credits stuff yet, but the history is decent)
Bloke on the Range (messing about with guns, notably from the bolt-action era- amusing Mad Minute series with different guns)
Practical Engineering (channel I discovered recently, loads of really cool, accessible videos about engineering. I especially love the civil engineering stuff)

The older narrator is really good, but the new chap (last two or three videos) is settling in nicely.
Also, if you're into podcasts, The White Vault is a Lovecraftian radio play set on Svalbard in the modern day. It's long, about 6-7 hours, but builds up nicely. When everything hits the fan, it REALLY hits the fan.

Nice to hear someone else knows what lindybeige is like with accuracy, I gave up quick on watching him cause of that. I find Scholagladiatoria is pretty good but doesn't cover what i'm interested in, he's all swords.
Our reality does not have a wacky magical parallel twin universe made of 'emotions' that reflects back and amplifies the worst impulses of people in the 'real' world.

There is a fair bit on combat with pistols too, but yes, mostly personal weapons up to and including the 19th century. Anything after the introduction of smokeless powder, you are generally better off watching Forgotten Weapons and Bloke on the Range.

He talks about Science Journalism, in his latest upload he talks about a youtuber misrepresenting Scientific predictions and then debunking those misrepresentations.
I enjoy ThegnThrand. He does test videos of mode4rn replicas of ancient-medieval weapons. Is it scientific? No, but it is interesting and he knows the history for the most part.

I find CinemaSins suffers from the same thing AngryJoe and Yahtzee suffer from, people taking the bombastic and over the top style too seriously. CinemaSins even made a Sin video about it XD

CinemaSins suffers from claiming their work is satire, when it isn't actually satire of anything. Many of the mistakes they make in their Sins videos they also make in their videos which are supposedly serious reviews. Their videos also have incorrect "sins" (such as the countless times they give a film a sin for not explaining something when the film explains it later on) sitting next to sins for genuine mistakes. This blurs the line, making their claimed "joke sins" indistinguishable from legitimate complaints about a film.
With how many people there are making great videos about film and media (such as Lindsay Ellis, HBomberguy, Chris Stuckmann, George Rockall-Schmidt, etc.), CinemaSins only serves to lower film literacy due to their laziness.

There are no serious criticisms. Even those are just twisted to make more jokes. They tried way way back early on in some of their earliest videos but even those mostly focused on clunky dialogue, editing errors, and camera gaffes. After their Dragon Ball Evolution video exploded their popularity they basically went Yahtzee and focused entirely on what actual made them popular, being knit picky aholes.
About the only time I think they’re ever serious is when they take sins off. And even those get turned into jokes like at the end of EWW Ender’s Game when they took sins off for how great the book was.

It’s accessible. It’s coherent. Even if you’re not of a similar mind, and fair enough on that count, hopefully you’ll enjoy his thoughts and vids as well.

The man seriously argues that Micheal "gets lost" in Season 2 of STD, as in, doesn't get enough focus and attention. That alone is sufficient to dismiss him IMO, since it means either he actually believes that and is a numpty, or he feels the need to defend the show he likes even when it makes no sense to do so in which case none of his "interesting thoughts" can really be taken at face value.
