Didn't even get to try the Cawl castle with 4 Dakkastelans and the Raiment of the Technomartyr on Overwatch (every 6 to Hit in OW procs another shooting attack). AdMech already can't reroll outside of the shooting phase unlike Marines (not saying they're OP because of that) and we can't have a reroll in OW.

On the other side I'm glad because it gives more chance to melee armies, and I'm on board with them not getting slaughtered because they're trying to play the game.

Thank goodness. It was nonsense from day one. Especially annoying was how everything in overwatch worked like the shooting phase except Dark Reapers. It really miffed me how they FAQed that on day one - not because I felt they should hit on a 3+ in overwatch, but because of the way they fixed it. They should have simply changed the wording of the ability itself, rather than just give an FAQ answer amounting to 'nah it doesn't work' despite the wording of the ability itself and the new overwatch 'counts as the shooting phase' thing suggesting differently.

Well if ad mech has ability to shoot as if shooting phase say in movement rerolls there still.

I would guess he would miss getting rerolls when hitting on 5s in Overwatch, but I have never played my T'au Sept using the rerolls in Overwatch and I have been fine.


What rerolls tau had? All I can recall is marker light but those work as they aren't restricted to specific phase.


The 'Counterfire Defence System' allows rerolls to hit in overwatch. I have been putting it on my missile broadsides, and stormsurge
but frankly, I may be switching to 'Advanced Targeting System'

Neither company knows how to effectively balance anything. But with Blizzard since their whole deal is digital they can make updates every other week.

Well that, and a few million people over several months are bound to find exploits a couple of hundred didn't find over a few weeks. I definitely wouldn't put Blizzard the same sport, let alone, same ball park when it comes to game imbalance that Games Workshop puts into their games.

Unless you have special properties that change that, such as Tau or Mordian.

This is not coherent with my experience. Melee units are very powerful this edition, particularly fast skirmishers and high-volume-of-attacks light melee.

Heavy melee is not strong though. Melee AT just doesn't work, because it bogs down, can't engage it's desired targets fast enough anyway, doesn't have the flexibility of ranged AT, and effectively looses most of the benefits of melee by being really expensive and having nothing to show for it.
