I don't know, I have seen some really good Russian, Polish and China models of w40k models, and they have more detail and are more crisp then what GW achives with their stuff. Now I don't play for decades, but in athe time I did, I have never heard someone say 3ed party rasin models, came in looking bad, bendy or with holes. While GW stuff I have seen with pen sized holes in them and air bubbles 0,75cm in diameter.

we're not talking finecast though we're talking plastic. and GW's plastic models are pretty good, also BCB is refering to design insomuch as anything else. and all those russian, polish and chinese models are, eaither recasts or "stuff that just apes actual GW product. which means they don't need to be creative and come up with their own stuff

They looks better then most stuff GW makes, helmets, weapons, tank kits. GW ones look horrible comparing to the ones done by kromlech for example. GW either over does it with stuff thrown on models, often ruining a model that maybe have been nice without them or they make something like the repulsor.

As creative stuff goes, am not very good at this. But to me GW stuff seems to be just more stuff added on top of art and models they did for 30 or more years. When Grishnak made his sisters they looked better then the GW metal ones, which were not bad looking models in the first place, and they sure look look better then the new plastic ones.

I've had issues with 3rd party resin models, Raging Heroes and I think Hexy. It's just luck-based, basically.

Most of the really good 3rd party models are at the detail level of FW, but they're not much cheaper in my experience. 30€ for a Smash Captain by WGE isn't all that much cheaper than the 32.5€ they're asking for the new Shrike. Same with the assassins, 20€ vs 25€, but you can get the GW assassins through other shops for cheaper (20.49€)

I've honestly taken to just using Inifinity models as Assassins. They may be metal but they're usually around 10€ and don't have the brutish chunkiness that GW's Assassins do.

I'd not consider those to be of equal quality though. My point wasn't that there are no cheaper options, but that the better options aren't cheaper than what GW sells.

Well, no - many people would consider the Infinity models to be of higher quality at a lower price point (though I need to check that, as I haven't looked at Infinity prices recently).
