Look like this was made in the same vein (probably by the same person?) as Slambo the chubby Chaos warrior.

The guy who bought this said the model look better in real life.

I'm sure in typical GW manner the cover picture has been taken from the most unflattering angle possible.

And the color scheme isn't particularly enticing.

And the photo is kinda dark.

And the reflective shrink wrap gets in the way.

And she's resin.

And she needs a haircut.

But aside from that she's probably fine.

What I'm saying is, the sooner Warhammer Community reacts to this and gives us good pictures, the better.

I prefer the original 1980's version, but maybe this one looks better up close.

Both based on Blanche art from the 80s IIRC.

Age of Sigmar? I feel the aesthetic more fitting for Necromunda. Will it be part of the (kinda)new Slave to Darkness faction? This kind of very light armor doesn't fit in well imo.

The painting looks much more dynamic. Why did they pose the miniature like she was walking away from her photo shoot?

Any reason why it wasn't? Seems odd for GW to have gone to the lengths of producing it, packaging it and then just not doing anything with it

Because they ran out of sprue space, look at the sprue lol, didn't know that's a problem with resin cast.

Well, that's a blast from the past. She was in the 3rd edition WFB rulebook, among other places.

Crappy material and model though. Seems extraordinarily pointless.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

There were talks of two limited models being released last December - one for 40k (Sisters model) and something for AoS. The rumour at the time was the AoS model was cancelled at the very last minute with no explanation but perhaps it was due to quality control being finecast. It appears that some copies have now been released as a few have appeared on eBay in the last few weeks. The purchaser of the model has also posted the included rules online elsewhere.

Curious.
We know that GW's head office does sell off stock stuff. The fiend sprue that escaped into the wild (partly clipped) and was up for sale on ebay for a bit was bought from a lot of sprues and such. I suspect that GW might well have general channels like that which they use to offload used/old stock or other things that basically are only otherwise going to go to scrap.

Of course the other option is that this is being released "soon" and someone has leaked out a few copies early.

New finecast in 2019? I'm a bit surprised. Even limited availability special event models have been plastic recently so I'm a bit surprised to see this.

That artwork did not translate well into a model at all.

The change of the pose really ruins the model. The Necromunda version is far superior.

This was the original, far superior late eighties version, "Kinky Chaosette".

No wonder they updated the name

They stopped using the “Finecast” brand ages ago but there’s still resin models being produced. No idea if it’s sill the Finecast production method or more traditional vacuum casting though.

Why change the pose to a duller one than the art!?

It hasn't necessarily been developed with a specific game system in mind. It's simply a tribute model to a very famous piece of John Blanche design/artwork that fits, therefore, most comfortably into Age of Sigmar's Chaos faction.

The Slambo figure was wonderful. I bagged two of them at the time (is it still available?). Not a fan of the change of stance with this figure but it looks nice all the same. If it gets a proper release then I'll readily buy multiples of this, too.

The previous version kept the pose and the hair, the new version change both but keeps the elaborate shield design. I guess if you really want to be as close as possible from the original drawing you'll be best served by kitbashing the two, for a total of $very_expensive USD.
Generally speaking the old version seems like a very direct copy in model form (minus shield), but the new one seems more like a re-interpretation.

Some GW sculptor thought they could do better than the original and it turns out they couldn't?
