Amazing Axe and Stunning Beard? Must Be a Dwarf

As longtime fans are well aware, Grombrindal – the White Dwarf himself – has appeared in many forms over the years. We’re excited to show you this year’s special edition model: Tech-Priest Grombrindal!

Our hero has sworn oaths of fealty to the Priesthood of Mars! In return for his loyalty, he’s been blessed with augmetics, including a glorious beardful of mechadendrites and data-tethers. The Adeptus Mechanicus has honoured him with the trappings of a Magos, including an appropriately sized Omnissian axe.

Of course, his first order of business was giving the Black Gobbo the servitor treatment! This hapless grot is the natural counterpart and nemesis of the White Dwarf, suffering yet another humiliating defeat in this vignette. He does have a pretty sweet, tiny arc claw, but his mind-wiped consciousness probably can’t even appreciate it properly. Maybe that data-wafer Grombrindal’s about to insert will make him realise how cool his new body looks.

How Can You Get One For Yourself?
Tech-Priest Grombrindal will be available exclusively in retail shops, starting right after Christmas,* between Thursday the 26th* and Sunday the 29th of December.

If you’re keen, you should plan to be there when the doors open, as he’s bound to be popular! If your local store runs out, you can still order him in-store until December 29th – we’ll ensure there are enough and ship them out as soon as possible.

Its weird to see a tech-priest smiling, let alone grinning.

Last I checked though, making a servitor out of a greenskin is a major heresy. It came up it Lords (Priests?) of Mars

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

The Grombrindal models are normally a bit tongue-in-cheek / non-canon.

That's right - if it's based on a xenos (or is an AI) it's high-level heretical.

Looks like the back of the Gobitor's head is hollow and he's inserting the chip into it. Suitably grimdark, for such a happy looking dwarf. The trademark spider legs are creeping out from under his robes, the Black Gobbo's drooling, etc.

Now if only I could think of a way to use the Gobbo in a diorama or something. Probably worth picking up regardless

I mean there are so many books out there and GW doesn't keep close track of their canon anymore.. so literally everything is possible if you say "There is a book that did this"

And anything else wouldn't be fluffy anyhow. The Imperium certainly wouldn't be what it was without constant infighting among all its branches and sub-groups, permanent bending of rules and internal accusations of heresy and treason, careless administrative neglect and hypocrisy, etc..

The only thing you'll ever find in the Imperium would be consistency, logic or efficiency..

Noo I think he's modelled after https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robby_the_Robot Robby the Robot. Note the doohicky on his head and the clamp claw with tube arm as well.
