The simplest solution is to dump the nonsensical "Silhouette" system and actually base things as they should be...but that would be sensible.

Where did I say they should be?

I said that they should dump the system and start basing things as they should be. That means using larger bases for models that are inexplicably unable to be kept on the 'standard' sized base.

Because that worked so well in 1st and 2nd edition, please, it has been tired and frankly I would rather have the models designed as they are with Silhouettes than what was before.

That is the absolute worst suggestion I've ever seen for the game, going to silhouttes in N3 was a godsend. No modelling for advantage, no bullcrap about shooting a models weapon vs head vs main torso arguments. For a true LOS game with such over the top poses on so many models it's 100% the right way to go and I wish more games would go to such lengths, it stops arguments before they begin. Dumping silhouttes would be anything BUT simple.

No, instead they just need to model the figures so it actually fits on the appropriate base. If I grab Kaldstrom, I'm thinking I'll clip the rocks on the KoJ and swing her left leg against her right like she's leaping to the side

It's a big problem with heavy infantry in general, not exclusively Yu Jing.

Very fair. I just happen to notice it more in Yu Jing for some reason.

At least the new Jujak Regiment Korean Shock Infantry unit has a 6-2 move which differentiates him from the other vanilla HI.

All HI seem to have 6-2 move in Code One (and presumably N4). All the HI in Kaldstrom have it, and if something as basic as Orcs have it, it’s probably universal.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's just the powered high tech HI which have it, and the CHA approach of "jus' stick some irn on it and no complainin'" would be slower "slower" at 4-4.

The galaxy is littered with the single-planet graveyards of civilisations which made the economically sensible decision not to explore space.

Also, remember that Blue Wolf Mongol Cavalry are TAGs.

With Duo.

We should be seeing Beyond Kaldstrom next week from hints Koni just dropped on the official forums. They're going to be dropping their Adepticon seminar online.

I didn't know Infinity had a transforming motorcycle model. I was just making a robotech reference. Nice!

It's Tunguska's "Zondnautica" unit. Less "transforming motorcycle", more "robodragoons".

WinterFor looks rather classical boring PanO steamroller force, fire teams appear to be flexible, which is nice.

Loving that Svalarheima Winterfor PanO list - thanks for posting it here Kan!

Video next week of the Adepticon Seminar that never was. Probably the same day the Army Builder updates.

CB usually does their seminars on Saturdays, so I'd expect Friday or Saturday rather than Thursday.

I'm trying to decide between Game Nerdz and Miniature Market - but I still can't find Operation Kaldstom on Mini Market.

Anyone else have any luck?

Found it:

https://www.miniaturemarket.com/cvb280030-0820.html

Looks like the Nerdz win this time around...

Gamenerdz is always cheaper the MM. Even when MM has sales the prices aren't that much better the GN normal prices. Upside to MM is they'll get their allotted orders much sooner then gamenerdz which can be about 2 weeks behind with CB stuff.

Some interesting profiles, sadly Boyg isn't one of them. Feels there are better armies for what SWF wants to do.

Boyg doesn't need to be "interesting". It's a hammer.

Poor choice of words I suppose, either way, I don't see him as an alternative to any of the hammers that are currently there.

I don't know enough about Infinity stuff to accurately judge the New Stuff, but happy to see the PanO Svalarheima Sectorial out in the wild...

...for however long N3 remains a viable thing!

Sorry if this has been asked and answered 1000 times before, but I’m confused...

Are Sectorials going away for N4 or just Code One?

One of them filthy casuals...

Okay, so:

Sectorials are not being supported for Code One. It's vanilla play, with specific units only.

Sectorials will be supported for Infinity's Fourth Edition(N4 in shorthand). Whether it will be 100% playable at launch is a totally different thing.
