Hello. I just read the Eisenhorn trilogy and would be interested to read a book/books about the Grey Knights. Recommendations? I do have the codex

The Emperor's Gift is a fantastic read. it's about the 1st war for armageddon and the months of shame that followed

The Grey Knights Omnibus by Ben Counter is good. Looks like it's only available from BL as an eBook now.

I second The Emperor's Gift. I might recommend reading Ravenor first, though. It doesn't have bupkis to do with Grey Knights, but it's a sequel to the Eisenhorn trilogy and has a minor amount of lead-in to The Emperor's Gift.

The Eisenhorn trilogy has a great auto-seance bit where a Deathwatch marine stands guard while they put a heretic's body to the question.

I wouldn't recommend the Grey Knights Omnibus by Ben Counter to be honest. I didn't really like it, but then I don't really like any of his work where the warp and daemons are involved. I find he gets a bit carried away with the daemon stuff to the detriment of the novels. If you're a fan of his novels however, by all means have at it.

The Emperor's Gift is the best GK novel I have read.

Honestly where factions in 40k are concerned I've found the first question to ask is "Did ADB write a book about this faction" if the answer is yes, I wanna read that book

Ravenor is okay, but I would not recommend it as an immediate follow up to Eisenhorn. It has a much more ...comic book... feel, and is on par with the later Gaunt's Ghosts in terms of phoning it in, giving the fans what they want. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but I feel it is likely to lead an interested reader right back out of the setting rather than broadening its appeal.

Pandorax is also a worthwhile read.
