Forgeworld new releases are usually shown under a Forgeworld banner in the sunday preview articles - these weren't.

Sometimes they do come on Saturdays if they tie in with a GW release on the Saturday.

Honestly why does the FW site need a triple Captcha, what can bots even do there, overuse Search?

Just over £7 each for the sheen birds feels ludicrous to me.

GW's pricing model is very strange. The two models are actually prices very well at 18.. I thought they would be 35 each just like Lady Credo... but the birds are 35 ?!?!?

Whoever painted Deacon Malakev did a great job. The freehand on the book is good, but how they painted the magnify glass is genius

I think an error may have been made in the US pricing. Best get yours if you're in that part of the world before it's "corrected"

WOW that's a big difference. I thought something was odd. You think they will cancel my order?

It's been there all day so far. Could actually be a nice surprise and the UK price is wrong and be reduced.

No, by law they have to honour the price an item has been advertised at.

Depending where you are, that law isn't ironclad, or can be gotten around at any rate (I have ordered from Amazon uk at prices that seemed on the low side, only to be told that my order has been cancelled due to a mistake in the listing). GW, however, are usually pretty good about honouring the offer as written. I've had a couple of occasions where I've quibbled the wording of the offer where they've come down on my side when the third party supplier that sold me the item has told me to get in the sea, most recently with https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/battlezone-mechanicus-charadon-2021

It's already fixed too. Holy cow those prices! $35 for three birds, while a whole gang only costs $42. What's wrong with forge world?

I believe that when it comes to remote selling the price advertised is only the price they are offering to sell at; the actual agreement comes later in the process. There's certainyl scope for companies to cancel orders even after the customer has "paid and processed" the order.

There's more than a few "£10,000.00" item mistakenly listed at £1000" and such where the company just cancelled the orders without any blowback. Otherwise even a simple mistake like would sink companies fast. Especially because once something like that gets out online the sales can come through insanely fast.

Is it? Both are still showing up at $18 for me, though the Stig-Shambler is out of stock.

Companies don't have to honour an advertised price, even after the customer has paid. They can either honour the price (this does occasionally happen) or they offer a full refund.

I think where some people get confused is that companies can't force the customer to pay the balance. I'm also pretty sure that under these circumstances they can't charge an "admin fee" to cancel the order either, though I might be extrapolating here. Though I'd be surprised if any company, no matter how devious, would try that one.

Again though, GW are pretty good when it comes to honouring the initial "Offer" (this is not, legally speaking, a legal contract, but it's almost there, and GW mostly just accept is as 100% fulfilment, from my experience at least, having been a customer of 30 years).

Edit - I should say, I've been into their stuff for 30+ years. But I've only been of legal age for the past 20+ years, and (in my experience), they've always erred on the side of the consumer (ie me) when it comes to stuff like this

I've just had a look at the Citizen's Advice Bureau website (UK) and it turns out that if the goods have been paid for it becomes a lot trickier for the retailer to cancel the order, as the contract has been created at that point. To quote the website:

If you have a contract, the company can’t usually cancel your order, even if they realise they’ve sold you something at the wrong price. They’ll only be able to cancel it if it was a genuine and honest mistake on their part that you should’ve noticed.

Cancelling an order where money hasn't changed hands yet is no problem for the retailer.

But yes, point taken that GW might decide to fulfill orders that were sold at the incorrect price.

Yep. They mostly just honour the "Offer "because their actual product is just so much +margin, it makes sense (legally speaking), though I'm not a lawyer or indeed a merchant / producer. It just makes sense for thm to honour the 'offer' in almost all cases. I suppose we will see, from this snafu, but I'm betting they will honour the offer.
