half way decent as in not R&H 8th index level nonsense nothing works level.

there's plenty of space for not beeing half-waay decent realistically in my estimate.

I feel like I can improve this book with a pair of scissors and some glue. First step, cut off the cover, replace with a page from Deff Skwadron, cut out all Yiff content and bingo!

Boxed sets rarely are balanced matchups and frankly...At this size games 40k is even more wonky in balance and point values are even less relevant as games are much more rock paper scissor.

The box is basically glorified discount box. Get it if you want the stuff for your faction, sell others, get it cheaper than others. If not get the HQ you want off from 3rd party. It's not good nor really intended for 1v1 match.

Probably not, as GW seems to think that those bits only fit the Intercessors even if it is not true.

Well 10 Infiltrators are 210pts without any upgrades and Ragnar is probs 140pts, if Ghaz is 280pts then with 5 barebone Nobs which are 70pts, thats bang on 350pts each side. The Meganobs werent necessary.... but 10 Infiltrators would gut 5 Nobs, but Ghaz alone would Krump that whole Space Wolf side of the box Ragnar doesnt really stand a chance hahah!

I reckon the extra Klans will be: Grot Klans, Kult of Speed and Feral Orks. Maybe Stormboy Korps, but I doubt it.

Well Ork side is Ok in my books...

But Space Wolf side is as boring you could possibly imagine.

If they go old skool it could be White Spiders, Top Knots, Gold Toofs and Big Choppaz.

2 players who play wolves or orks or are interested in starting one...

And it provides win win for both GW(good profit margin on product) and players(discount miniatures. People are complaining about pricey stuff so at least this gives some discount. But guess you want to pay more instead?).

Those who don't need the other models can then get the model separately later.

But sure. Guess GW should just sell lone Ghaz and players who would like to get all have to pay more. I'm sure it's better somehow that players have to pay more

Poor GW. They get complains if they don't offer discount, they get complained if they do. Can't win.

I suspect big hero plus goons might not be the best way to start an army, but often the way most people would if it weren't for a start collecting box. Certainly seemed to be the bulk of the 2nd ed armies in school clubs that I remember.
I wonder if this is part of an experiment along the lines of the previous Battle boxes - but with more focus on the character (as it's the focus of the story) than an unreleased new unit. Think of them as narrative starter boxes.

Grot Klans need a HQ to get faction benefits, so maybe there's a few new datasheets coming (and releases of the old rebel grot characters if not new models).

Grot Banna Wavva seems an easy add on for Orks in general (who are going to be overjoyed at such a cheap HQ choice if it's allowed). Be curious to see if they do something for the Head Honcho though.

apparently POA will give orks new ways to customize their vehicles, sounds like they're proably addressing the complete lack of options for the new vehicles they put out awhile back

Makari does NOT have the same ability as Ghaz to be put into another detachment without nicking your clan bonus.

He really only belongs in a Goff detachment or a detachment that otherwise will not benefit from clan traits, e.g. Mek Gunz or Gretchin CP farm.

That has to be the most underwhelming box set in a long time. Infiltrators, ho hum. Weren't they already in a box set that everyone who plays marines already bought for other models? Yes. Aren't they already the cheapest Primaris squads on the secondary market? Yes. I don't know how the Ork players feel about their side of the box. But as a SW player its a hard pass, and look to pick up Ragnar by himself from someone parting the box out.

Shadowspear Infiltrators didn't build Incursors nor did they have the parts for the comms array.

Valrak has stated he should know tomorrow but I'm guessing in the £100 to £110 range

I remember the last time they did a Wolves V Orks box set I was all for it. Now I really cannot see any part of that I would want.
