I can't find a thread on it. Anyone else been watching? Really enjoyed the books, really enjoying the show.

I just finished it, i liked it. Never read the books so had no idea what the story was gonna be. I was expecting something more candy coated and kid friendly, but glad it was a bit more “mature”.

still wondering what the keyhole in your chest is for, they never found a key for that but I guess they need to save stuff for season 2.

Do the books ever talk about what exactly is behind the omega door, or is it just some kinda hell prison or something?

It's been awhile since I read them, and I'm waiting until I finish the season to go back and do a reread but I think they do talk about the Omega Door.

Bear in mind that the series was, effectively, over before the show so there's a finite number of books outside of some one-shots that are just goofy fun.

The books are a little more weird/horror than the show.

About the Omega Door, the keys, and a change from the books.
Spoiler:
In the books the town is called Lovecraft. Behind the Omega Door is pretty much what they show with the added bit that the demons who get out say things like "Ia Shub Niggurath" and other lovecraftian crap. Where those lights hit and became chunks of metal at the end is kind of important. That metal is called Whispering Iron and it's what the keys are made of.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

I was shocked by the cold blooded murder of a random kid, but yeah, really good show. Look forward to the second season.

Aye solid show - part dark, part family/college story, part fantasy, part just weird.
Cant place my finger on it but enjoying it so far.

I almost skipped this because I thought it was a kids show, but now I'm into it.

I got this lined up after Narcos : Mexico 2 : The Cocaine Boogaloo.

I was kinda wondering about that, about the metal chunks from the other side.

There were a bunch of parts where I felt like dealing with the well lady could have been solved with a simple call to the cops.

My favorite line was "Don't fight in front of the bacon". Someone needs to make that into a t-shirt

Hopefully the later seasons will be more Lovecrafty.

Fun fact. Joe Hill -- the creator -- is Stephen King's kid but you'd never know it if you saw him.

Spoiler:

There are a number of story elements of L&K that feel very 'Stephen King' to me. NOS4A2, same thing.

It kind of goes back and forth? Like, overall it’s very teen drama type stuff most of the time and Bode getting into magical key shenanigans due to lack of proper supervision. Then the well lady shows up periodically and murders people.

I'm doing the exact opposite - hoping to finish the last 2 eps of Locke & Key tonight before firing into the new Narcos.

He doesn't look like SK now, but he looks very much like he did when he was younger.

Spoiler:

Have you read Horns? It's one of his better works, and it feels very stylistically similar to his dad's work.
