Because there're occasionally posts on whether/which celebrities might be into the hobby, I thought I'd share this here (I know Ed Sheeran did some Marines a while back on Instagramm).

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

Superman plays Warhammer. Hah. Surprised he doesn’t play 30k Nightlords so he can call Ben up and tell him what kind of missions he sends Curze on.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Who do you think he plays 40k AGAINST?

Batman, who obviously plays Night Lords.

Only painting doods with helmets on? I guess it avoids having any top lip detail issues on faces... ;-)

Actually it makes him a man of culture. feth bare faced Marines and Custodes. Hell I prefer Sisters with their helmets too.

Why?

One is his job (or was his job a couple of years back by this point) and the other is him killing time (privately) in Corona-lockdown.

Cavil's apparently a long time warhammer fan, but he's only ahd time to do the hobby aspect of it now

It's funny...I've seen a few people crying foul. Saying that it's his publicist having him kiss up to geeks in an attempt to get the people on his side for the Witcher, MoS2, etc.

While he does do a bit of that with his social media , it seems pretty obvious from the details that this is genuine.

So...I guess he's writing a book? A screenplay would also make sense, but the formatting doesn't look right.

it's actually an email from his aunt edna with the recipie for her choclate chip cookies.

but yeah claiming he's just doing this to suck up to geeks is silly. this isn't the first time he's indicated he's a warhammer fan, he commented months ago that he really liked warhammer total war 2

Not to mention it'd be pointless.

People who play Warhammer (or even know what it is) have probably seen his Superman / Witcher-outings already. This isn't really reaching out to new, untapped audiences for those kind of properties.

Besides that, the marketing push for those properties has long passed (especially the DC stuff). His upcoming marketing commitments (post Corona) will presumably focus on his Sherlock Holmes movie.

Last but not least, if this was some weird, years-delayed guerilla-marketing trick by Warner Brothers for his Superman movies, you'd think they'd ask him to paint a Superman or perhaps a Batman miniature at least.

The bigger news item in all this, to me, was the revelation that hes British. I always assumed he was an American with that strong chiseled jawline of his, only ever having seen him play roles where he speaks with what I guess is an American accent I was none the wiser.

I'm not a superman fan... So how would I know who he is if he's a character in a franchise I don't care about?
