Dark Imperium had 22 Primaris and 31 Death Guard models where the new starter seems to have 24 Primaris and 37 Necrons so will probably cost a bit more but as its a starter set I don't expect it to be much more than DI

Look at the base of the Bladeguard Veteran. One has a destroyed necron head.
So this joins the long line of starter sets having cool little base details:
*Dark Vengeance had ammo, a cultist head, and a skull
*Dark Imperium had ammo and a chaos helmet
*And whatever this sets called has a necron head.

New preorders are all the skitarii stuff. I'm really digging the new Start Collecting.
Enginseer
10 Skitarii rangers
Skopius transport.
Give that the transport is 75$, it'll probably be a more expensive start collecting. But still a good deal. Two kits with two options, plus an enginseer.
Also, never realized the Manipilus has a second head option. I like the completely mechanical one so much more

I would also be very surprised if the Tesseract Vault, both Arks, Wraiths, Tomb Blades and the Barge get replaced.
The old Overlord could be replaced by the other one we saw in the starterset image but I think that one will just have a different weapon
Also those big new Canoptek construct could replace the Canoptek Spyder but personally I don't think they will.
So that leaves all the different resin HQs which I expect to either be replaced with new sculpts or get squatted (the Pope guy could be an new Orikan the Diviner)
Also Flayed Ones which would be very weird if they won't get a new model but nothing until now
it's a pretty safe assumption at this point that anything that was plastic in 5E forward is not going to get replaced. There would be zero reason for it.
The only things that we are likely see to get squatted are in Finecast. That would leave the Special Characters, the old Cryptek, Old Necron Overlord, Flayed ones and C'tan Shards. Of these, I think we are going to see the Old Overlord and Old Cryptek gone for sure. We already have plastic variants of them.
The Special characters are up in the air. We know that Szeras got a new model. I doubt the rest are getting a new model, but I don't foresee them getting squatted. They may end up with another model release down the pipeline at some point. They are not safe by any means.
Without new models, It's very likely that Flayed ones, and the old C'tan shards are getting squatted. It's a strong possibility that this new C'tan kit may be multi-purpose though.

I'm not sure on Flayed Ones, one features prominently in last weeks fiction piece, it would be odd to do that and then not make the unit available.

only two more primaris, but also 3 great big bikes, so definitely another sprue required. then remember shadowspear was £105 and only had 19 primaris and 16 chaos warriors, so I think £120 at least if it has everything in the two pics

if it follows the 8th edition release we got several new DG models along the first months, so high chance we see the same for the necrons and marines like new characters and units (marines still have the Primaris Land speeder and maybe some kind of new centurion/terminator unit)

Finally switching out of that one character that came in literally every AdMech bundle box so far is great news in itself.
A €60 tank in a probably €80 box is pretty sweet too.

Based on the keen eyes noticing a Necron skull on the base of that leftmost Bladeguard, I agree that this is very likely the Starter Kit. They do those details on the monopose models in box sets (which are cool), but rarely on the actual kits. And with the DI announcement...
Pretty packed new starter box. Still don’t like the belly robes on the Bladeguard, at all. But on board for much of the rest of the set.

I'm not seeing (admittedly it is early, and these are likely monopose Starter set minis) anything that indicates Primaris are really take a step forward for GW vs. regular marines - the ability to customize weapon loadouts in a squad.
I hope we get the ability to mix is special weapons and heavy weapons in Intercessor squads, and that Lt's and Cpt's get to pick their gear, bikes get to pick a special, etc.
Then the journey will be complete!

Let's be real, even if it were only Relic Blade stats he would still probably be better, but GW always does favoritism so $5 says he gets even more.

Yeah, new Necrons look awesome, love basically all of them - want to know more what they are!
They talk about Scorpek Destroyers, seems like they are just another Destroyer variant (with legs and CC weapons). I bet the "regular" shooty Destroyers get a new name, but I wonder if they keep the old miniatures, and that big guy in the photo is a Heavy Destroyer (also with a new name), since those never got a proper nice kit?
Love those tall Canoptek constructs, looks like one of them has got a Doomsday cannon on it's back. Good luck trying to stay out of LOS of that guy!

I know in prior editions “tank” was a keyword and not every vehicle had it. Might be going back to that.
