Here's something I don't get. I see reviews and the warhammer community site talking about the app being 4£ a month.

However, I'm from Sweden and when I subscribed, the cost is actually the equivalent of 1£ a month which puts my expectations on it a bit lower.

I'm not reading 400 pages of discussion to see if anyone else has the same experience- it doesn't seem so, judging from the last few pages?

What's the deal with that?

Apparently the Japanese version is like £130 a month, so you're reaping the benefits of the fact that whomever set up the prices for the subscriptions can't count in order to do the currency conversions.

They have the Silhouettes of the Monolith and new Primaris tank up right now, so hopefully won't be much longer.

Yep. Preview is always 2pm, they build in a 15 minute buffer.

Well, the Azyr AoS app is quite nice and for 1€ its doable.
The 40k app will need to prove its viability.
It appears that one needs to buy the online codices which can then be integrated into the app.
This is not much different if you buy the online codices stand alone or do I have missed something???

The new Codex: Space Marines will replace the current Space Marine codex, as well as the other First Founding and Deathwatch codexes

The new Codex: Space Marines will replace the current Space Marine codex, as well as the other First Founding and Deathwatch codexes – making it an invaluable tome that covers all those elements common across the forces of the Space Marines. A literal Codex Astartes*.

Players using Chapters covered in the last Space Marine codex can carry on using their expansions with the new book – White Scars, Imperial Fists, Iron Hands, Ultramarines, Salamanders, Raven Guard and Black Templars using their codex expansion in the Psychic Awakening series.

For fans of the Dark Angels, Space Wolves, Blood Angels and Deathwatch?

If you have one of these armies, good news – not only do you get a shiny new core codex with loads of new toys to play with, but you also have a new codex supplement on the way. You’ll be able to tailor your Space Marines force to fully embody the theme and spirit of their Chapter, and of course, include all their unique units and heroes.

There ya go.

Also:
These two new codexes will be available for you to buy in October – stay tuned for more previews and more new model reveals in the coming weeks. Speaking of which – we’ll be back soon with another look into the future.

Possible Angron teaser in the 40k rulebook:

Saw this floating around on Facebook. Obviously teasers like this often mean very little (or I'd be neck-deep in Noise Marines by now). As a disclaimer, in the 8th edition rulebook there is mention that the Salamanders stop Angron from being summoned to Armageddon:

Spoiler:

Given the nature of the new timeline, this new teaser might simply be the missive that summons the Salamanders to stop Angron from being summoned - which we already know about. That being said, there are some key differences between the two.

It's more than that in the book - there's a two page spread about the history of Armageddon which has that box, and also a few more paragraphs and another box dealing with this -

Spoiler:
It just says that he's coming though, the gateway is leaking rage into the planet etc and it's named as the Red Angel's gate. It doesn't address the Salamanders stopping it at all, so if that's just getting retconned into them delaying it a bit or just didn't happen any more is unclear. It's by far and away the biggest hint at any new plot development in the book though.

Hopefully this means they can knock out every SM army in a month and move on to the interesting factions.

At last some good news. Now cut the flow of constant new release and we might stop the marines from cannibalizing 40k.

It's interesting that we could actually have the Chaos Marines having all the books now.

That seems ludicrous! I hope this sub rate is genuine and not a mistake.

Not gonna lie, Death Guard and Thousand Sons at least have felt different since they got their own books.

BA, DA, SW, and DW? Not so much.

That's what it says. Probably the first time they could get production slots done months ago.

Oh no wait it's just moving to the supplement model for this.

One more Marine book and then supplements rather than a separate BA or DA Codex with tons of duplicate entries.

From the Community article...

Codex: Necrons, meanwhile, brings the Necrons to life in terrifying splendour and tactical depth never before seen for the Faction. Rules have been fundamentally reworked to diversify the army and offer a vast range of potential strategies. Want to play a close-combat Necron force? A surging tide of Canoptek critters? A short-ranged incursion force popping out of portals to annihilate everything? The choice is yours. New units like the Shard of the Void Dragon and the Silent King himself give you new and terrifying ways to reconquer the galaxy, while rules for custom dynasties and the legendary brass-armoured Szarekhan Dynasty allow for even more choice and freedom. Take your army on Crusade and things get even crazier as your Necrons grow and change, with Overlords gaining ever-longer Dynastic Epithets (yes, really – there’s a random table) or succumbing to the horror of the Destroyer curse…

Let's hope the SM codex is an honest attempt to fix that horrible mistake from the last year.

In the Codex video at 0.26 on the page with the Techmarine, Chaplain, Lieutenant and Ancient you can see 2 others I am not recognizing are those two new? (Seem like the right one is a Bladeguard Veteran from the multipart kit and the left one could be a new Captain model?)

Kind of pleased they are rolling the Marines into one book plus an expansion. It makes things a bit more uniform and the likes of DW, BA etc don’t have to wait for the new shiny stuff anymore. I remember a stupid situation in 7th when Blood Angels Scouts were WS3 and regular ones were WS4.

August 10, 2019 to October ?, 2020 isnt' within 1 year.

No new Codexes till October, then Marines, Necrons and 4 Chapter-supplements for Marines means that the rumours of an accelerated release schedule seem to be wrong.

Someone blew up the Necron Dynasty codes.

All of them get 3 traits, looks like Mephrit adds some range to weapons and Nephrekh adds an armywide 6+ invulnerable save.
