I'm not finding the iOS version of the app from the app store. Anyone have a link to it? Or is it not out yet, despite some people claiming it is?

Like maybe those new Forge World books they said would be released after the release of 9th edition? Anytime now gw. Just get on with it.

Nobody knows. Chill out.
Last indications were that no, they're not canceled. Fires of Cyraxus was cancelled because it was a FW studio production at a time that the design studio from GW was taking over--and also because they want to move towards a more 'codex' setup rather than multiple armies per book.

Probably what has happened is that the developers got the approval notice, forwarded it to whoever is in writing the community articles, and no one accounted for the usual possibly several hour delay that it takes for an Apple App Store app to go live once the appropriate button has been clicked. (It takes a bit for the information to propagate across Apple's servers...)

NECROMUNDA
BEASTGRAVE
Beastgrave release can be done in a week, nexromunda the same probably, there's a warcry warband for 1 week and the gargants to release, so that's 4 weeks worth. They might drop another new starter box for 9th before then which seems sensible.

More blurry bits from the new space marine codex, you are limited to only a single captain and two lieutenants per detachment.

Quite right too,... they are also making mdoels for factions like the Sisters who had lost their lower level commanders, they are getting the Palatine back - likely DE will get the Dracon etc.

Nice! They should even make restriction like no captain for the smallest detachment (don't remember the name)

Save everyone a click:
I've been trying to read the screenshotted page. This is what I can make out of it, correct me if I'm wrong:
Dark Angels: 1) +1 to hit if the unit did not move in this turn and 2) something about Combat Attrition, probably auto-pass.
White Scars: 1) can Charge after Advance or Fall Back and 2) can fire Assault with no penalty after an Advance move.
Space Wolves: 1) +1 to hit in melee if the unit charged, was charged or heroically intervened and 2) units with this tactic can heroically intervene as if they were characters.
Imperial Fists: 1) ignore Light Cover and 2) 2 (probably only 1, blame the wonky screenshot) additional hits with unmodified 6s with bolt weapons.
Crimson Fists: 1) +1 to hit when the target unit contains 5+ more models than this unit (VEHICLE counts as 5) and 2) 1 additional hit with unmodified 6s with bolt weapons.
Black Templars: 1) reroll Advance and Charge rolls and 2) 5+ feel no pain against mortal wounds.
Blood Angels: 1) +1 to wound when charging, charged or heroically intervening and 2) +1" to Advance and Charge rolls.
Flesh Tearers: 1) +1 to wound when charging, charged or heroically intervening and 2) -1 AP on unmodified wound rolls of 6.
Iron Hands: 1) 6+ feel no pain and 2) double wounds on the damage chart.
Ultramarines: 1) +1 Leadership and 2) can shoot in a turn during which it Falls Back, but at -1 to hit.
Salamanders:1) you can reroll one wound roll when resolving that unit's attack and 2) each time an attack with an AP characteristic of -1 is allocated...treat it as 0 instead.
Raven Guard: 1) count as being in Light Cover if the attacker is more than 18" away and 2) INFANTRY only count as being in Dense Cover if the attacker is more than 12" away.
Deathwatch: 1) each time a model with this tactic makes a melee attack against TYRANID, AELDARI, ORK, NECRONS or TAU, reroll a hit roll of 1 and 2) after both sides have finished deploying their armies, select one battlefield role. Until the end of the battle, each time a model with this tactic makes an attack against an enemy unit with that battlefield role, reroll a wound roll of 1.
EDIT: slowly updating the list. Done, I can't make out what the second DA point is but it's something about ignoring Combat Attrition imho

They definitely put the app out yesterday to bury the bad news, only had to deal with one day of the internet laughing at them for being totally incompetent before everybody was distracted by the new codexes.

yes, as the Codex is replaced with a new one they only have what is coming with that until the Supplement is released or GW keeps them via FAQ

Do you mean the protocols bit?
I'm wondering too.
I assume that necrons will have protocols similar to SM doctrines which they move between.
But in their case each protocal they have to choose one of two.
Getting to use both is their form of super doctrine I imagine.
Hopefully that means all armies will eventually get similar to SM with doctrine like abilities

It was discussed on one of the livestreams - development slowed down due to neither Mechnicum nor Red Scorpions selling particularly well (the team was given Specialist Games stuff to do instead), and then cancelled when 8th came along.
