Gone for a kind of bengal/Tiger stripes on one of the cats for crazy cat lady. What do you all think? And just in case it needs to be said I absolutely do not approve of animal cruelty.

Marine needs edgeing, and a bit more work on the banner itself.

Did this pretty quickly, but it's so hot currently that it's hard to focus. No point trying to go back and forth with it.

I like the starry effect in that ectoplasm (orktoplasm?) I'll have to try that myself.

Getting there with the Administratum scribes. I should be able to hit the deadline most likely.

It was basically the result of experimenting and playing around with washes.

And I will use that term, orktoplasm

Calling this lad done. Could do with a touch more polish but I'm bored of painting him for the time being and he's at a stage I'm happy with for now. Night lords havoc.

Very nice entries so far, especially the NL havoc, the rust on the base looks spot on.

Turns out that going back into work two days a week has really hit my painting time, so only two of the zebras will make it to the finish line;



I'll get them all done soon hopefully.

Almost done, need to finish the white parts, tidy up a couple of cats then add some snow.

Yup. I’m not suggesting the whole poll, just some options for what one could be. They all have a slightly different slants. Hopefully one catches Para’s eye.

I like the 'center of attention' idea! Works both for minis that might be the most threatening/brootal within an army, and for 'centerpiece' models, in a more aesthetic sense ...

That could probably fit into "Rank and File" since zombies are about as rank and file of undead you can get, along with skeletons.

I had wanted to use this competition to spur me into painting again, but I just haven't had the time yet. Since I'm still a novice and I only have a few paints now, I could probably get a single model done in a day. Maybe tomorrow I'll somehow squeeze it in since it is Sunday.

No idea on next month, but did get this month's done. Just gotta get some slightly less potato pics which I'll do in the morning.

I like Centre of Attention, could also be used for objectives or big terrain set pieces, etc.

How about the old rhyme "Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Sailor, Rich Man, Poor Man, Beggar Man, Thief"? Choose up to five of those archetypes and paint models that represent them in some way.

How about a bit of Orwell; four legs good, two legs bad.

Specialists: something optimized for a singular purpose, snipers, tank hunters, etc.

Recon: some sort of forward element, scouts, rangers, etc.

Irregulars: militia, conscripts, troops with improvised weapons

Mechanized: a unit + vehicle combo?
