Allied contingents, see they're in different colours too...

Lovely models those old metal superheavies, but will eventually get phased out to other armies as I find me some proper Fellblades.

In 3rd-5th yes. you could bring any superheavy (up to 3) per every 2k points of an army as long as they were allied to your faction. it was meant to represent the combined arms nature of battles in the 40K universe...and sell FW models.

1hadhq i see you suffer from the ailment i suffered through for many years-40K variety obsession.

it led me to build 8 different armies over all the editions. (well 14 if you count epic and BFG fleets)

before i purged myself and started playing other game systems instead of just more 40K/GW.

now i just have my DIY chapter and a small admech force for normal 40k/30K scale.

One of these days I need to get all of my painted Dark Angels out and do some army shots. Wouldn't hurt for me to get more stuff painted first though.

A guy at my FLGS has a really cool heavily converted speed freak army, he even put tank treads/wheels on all his walkers and infantry.

The core of my army. 60 Warriors, a Lord, and another D Lord below, AND almost 3 full units of Metal Scarabs!
I can't wait to have a Raiders, Oldcron, and Newcron force.

It’s good to get full army shots from time to time, but they are not fun to do. All the work setting things up, and due to the range you need to be at to get the picture, you can’t get a lot of details.

Luckily I waited until I had The Boy to help. Also took advantage of the time to break out the lightbox and get squad pictures of everyone who still needed it. Just need to process them all.
