Over a year old, I should get a new pic. And maybe on the table, rather then the shelf.

~13k worth of Ultras.

I don't remember what the points level of this game was. 4 or 5K I think. But it wasn't the whole collection.

It's a few years out of date, and it's not the best pic, there's some additional Sentinels and a Shadowsword not pictured, but this is most of my painted Imperial Guard.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

I think there's a little under 8000 points here. Since I took this photo a couple of months ago I've added another unit of warriors, and done the first batch of what will become unit of 30 devilgaunts. So probably over 8k now.

Bonus points for if you need to find something in the picture to tell if it’s 40k or epic scale. Becasue you need that for some armies. Epic or just crazy? Looks like crazy! Get this guy a fancy hat, a swagger stick, and point him at that tyranid swarm!

Don't have a good pic of the now-painted Tyranid army (big enough to eat the guard above) or my Tau force (just a tad smaller than the guard).

and sadly, that's isn't all of my armies (also Necron, Admech, Genestealers, Eldar, AT-43 Karmans, WW2 Americans & Germans, Dust Americans & Germans, High Elves & Vampire Counts)

Full army shot of my various Nurgle forces for 40k. Uploaded this exactly a year ago to the day apparently, not much has been added since then so it's pretty accurate.

Very impressive stuff everybody - I love a huge army photo. You can really see how much time effort and dedication people have put into them.

The last time I took a full army photo of my Biel-Tan. It was about 7K points when I took this photo, up to about 8.5K now.

Yeah because they were good
4 shots twin linked at 72", decent armor, not open topped, cammo netting, and the abiiltiy to choose to skyfire or shoot ground targets without penalty at the start of the shooting phase....oh and air tracking so no jink save for aircraft.

It’s a sliding scale. Always someone higher up then you are.

I honestly don’t think of my collection as massive. It’s just my Ultramarines. I’ve been collecting them forever, and they have grown. They are also fairly points dense, as armies go. But a huge chunk of that is in all the random HQ options. Horde armies can put down half my total model count in a playable list if they put their minds to it.

Here is the last breakdown I did, last fall
Ultramarines. 13,104 points about 363 models

HQ -- 3,196 points, 24% (31 models)
Troops -- 1,979 points, 15% (130 models)
Elites -- 3,019 points, 23% (70 models)
Fast Attack -- 1,068 points, 8% (40 models)
Heavy Support -- 2,186 points, 16% 50 models)
Flyer -- 502 points, 4% (2 models)
Dedicated Transport -- 815 points, 6% (8 models)
Lord of War -- 350 points, 3% (1 model)

HQs are less then 10% of the models, but make up a quarter of the points.

By pure model count, I’ve got a third of the chapter. And a point level that lets me put multiple distinct and viable armies on the table simultaneously. I think that meets the commonly accepted definition of “Massive Amry”.

But I don’t have any world breaking superheavies, FW centerpiece models, or anything like that. Just a lot of the Emperor’s Finest, ready to serve.

There is a lot of crazy on display here

Awesome crazy. The best kind. Thanks for sharing all.

Also hydras used to be awesome against light skimmers and eldar grav tanks. So many shots with no negative modifiers.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

That's a lot of Marines. I know I have about 2 companies of power armour, a full company of Terminators and probably a full Scout company.

Just going on what I remember, my Tyranids hit roughly 16,247 points, but this assumes that I don't own more than 120 Genestealers (I might!), and that I have around 57 Tyranid Warriors (again, I might have more). 3,846 of that is HQ. Might have something to do with the 10 Hive Tyrants (plus Ol' Swarmy) though.

oh that is cheating.....my epic army has 3 thunderhawks as well.
in 8th ed rules i think it is around 10k points.

My friends epic guard army is even more impressive. along with thunderbolts, a marauder destroyer and such it has an entire artillery battery-9 basalisks, 3 bombards, 3 manticores, some preators, hydras, loads of russ's, chimeras and hell hounds, then all those infantry....so much stuff
