Okay, definitely calling that Multimeltas will get the Melta bonus at full range.
That would actually be a really nice way to make multimeltas at least more relevant.
Single shot and they cost 20+ points each? That's relevant?

It's almost voting with your wallet. The more they lose on the codices, the harder they'll work to ensure it doesn't happen that often.
What part of that is mutually exclusive with pointing it out and complaining about it on DakkaDakka?
They're not, but I've pointed out the main problem (basically every Melta source is bad, not that these dudes are OP) and how to fix it multiple times. Even more sad is I've been pointing out the solution forever to stop these kinds of things from happening but apparently people need their plastic and paper crack WAY too much.

So, random optimistic predictions based on the points (if they are legit).
Genades can be used by everyone on the squad in combat. (price of Marines going up). Possibly thrown? (F YEAH!)
Heavy Bolter is getting more shots.
Grav Cannon nerf (it went down to 10!) 3 shots?
Whee, I prepare for wrongness!

I'd be shocked if the Grav Cannon lost shots. Heavy Bolter is gonna stay 3 though because GW hasn't touched the thing in years. Literally years.

It also means that 1+ armor is a thing, and presumably doesn't work the way this forum insists it does.
Shooting a 1+/4+++ target with melta is a lot less soul crushing than a 2+/3++ target.

If it did it would make terminators have a functional 2++. Which as much as I'd like for them to be more viable, pls no.
It might still have interactions if the model already has an innate as well.

No, it doesn't. That chart or whatever people refer back to is not the RAI, and I'm sure it won't be like that in 9th.
A 1+ save gets reduced to 5+ by a -4 weapon. In this case, the invuln is 4++.

He’s trying to say you shouldn’t be talking about it here in the thread dedicated to the topic, because fixing it isn’t something slayer is able to/willing to do. Instead, you should be emailing GW. This was what he said a few posts back. The way he talks like 40k general is his personal mailbox is just cringe.
No, I've simply pointed out that the unit in question was never the issue, especially when people keep complaining about their other Melta sources being terrible. You can't get GW to fix it unless you're willing to commit.
Also I'm cringe? You're one to talk especially when people have pointed out how bad your posts are LOL
Called out by one person besides yourself yourself, ever, and they themselves an utterly awful poster who was of course, in agreement with you.
Meanwhile someone brand new says it to you every single thread. And I do mean every single thread because you do the same thing in all of them. You’ve genuinely confused Dakka general chat with your own inbox, nobody made a single post in here needing your approval or expecting you to “fix this unit”. You gotta take a break man

Now that I've read it, that's for the shooting phase.
All we need is a separate melee profile for certain grenades, and then a rule like -may only be used against MONSTERS and VEHICLES.

Other melta being sucky should have moved GW to fix the issues with melta, not make the only useful one Primaris only. And before you respond prompting me to pirate again, if what I'm seeing so far continues I will not be buying their moneygrab 9th edition. This is just plain bad design on so many levels.

I don't think they are broken, but they are large steps above any other unit with a like purpose and similar set up for a good point cost. So yeah, not broken, but they do show quite easily how crap those other units are.
I don't know if some people know what good design is but it isn't filled with no brainer best of choices, lots of which sit crammed in one book.
So are they broken as in they'll win games all on their own ? No. You could argue they are broken as they are power creep for sure and quite shamelessly so.They sacrifice nothing really to be best of similar choices in cost, durability and rate of fire.
Which adds to the over all great choices for Primaris while everyone else feels a bit old busted. No brainer choices are bad for game design and no one army should just feel like game units ++, which these and other Primaris units feel like.
