I'm going to amend my entry. Built another child of the emperor and I'm way more stoked to paint this guy. If I have time I will do the original guy too as he is half done.

This head was just a stop gap. It's been replaced now. Progress shots are in my P&M blog.

Small update! 4 out of 5 built and primed. (The fifth will need some green stuff etc, so I’ll leave that be for now.)

Starting to paint the first of the four. Looks like I’ll be getting 1 or 2 done for this, as opposed to the 5!

Almost finished the gold, just needs a final silver highlight which i can do same time as the gun metals. I got a cheapo lightbox too, £8 on ebay. Seems pretty good, certainly better than the strip light and white paper i was using before.

Didn't know if I needed to post it but i finally got the weapon change in the mail for the captain. So... proof pic. Also WIP pic of my lieutenant.

I think old Uthmog is ready for the varnish and basing.

About 3/4 of the way through so only 6 weeks to go lol.

QAR's WIPs are always better than my finished product. But, I'm learning and pushing myself.

Got some work done this weekend myself:

Probably need another layer of red to help smooth stuff out, the green gems need their gloss, and then all the edging. Ugh, edge highlights. My least favorite part. Makes a difference though, so I push through.

And bases, maybe decals, etc.

I'm still chipping away. Armour is done, two bare heads are nearly done and just started the wings.

As always feedback is most welcome and appreciated.

Not much to say for feedback. Love the color combo, and the glowing green eyes, is that a flour paint?

A question though, Read a short story where a death watch blood angle had black orb for eyes, is that a unique or a common gene trait?

Sweet!, getting that dark Christmassy vibe.

Cheers mothsniper. The green glow is the new gw tesseract glow over white, works kind of like the old waywatcher green over white but has a sort of two tone quality to it kind of like the contrast paints.
I dont read much fluff and in what little i have read i havent seen any mention of black eyes. Maybe that particular marine had succumbed to the black rage?
