Where? The leaked book doesn’t count.

TOMB KINGS CONFIRMED!!!

On a more serious note, I have to agree that the new Slaaneshi models look nice, and have a distinct style. Hopefully they'll have a full line-up in that style instead of just the handful of units in this new warband.

There's been a preview of a real nice looking Champion for one of the other releases in not dissimilar style (seen here https://www.belloflostsouls.net/2020/08/aos-aelves-slaanesh-conflict-takes-center-stage.html) and likely been a few more spotted too if you can find them,

Oh do they not release the starter warbands as individual groups? That would be a shame, I do quite like the Chaos one and probably would have bought it separately, definitely not as a bundle though. Mildly disappointing.

It's usually done at the end of a 'season'.

Indeed, we might just be getting to the Beastgrave ones coming I guess..

Good news is, several people DO seem to like the Lumineth.
So buy the starter and if imagine you could probably sell it for £20-22.50, the price of a normal warband.
Then the remaining starter cost is ok.

(If it were the other way round, you could probably have got even more for the Slaañesh, as they’re clearly the more sought after..)

The only real positive of the High Elf warband seems to be the presence of a Swordmaster of Hoeth - and we can finally see what was under their cone helmets. Turns out it is an Abaddon-esque vertical ponytail of doom!

This is, emphatically, why I will continue suggesting nuking Guard and starting over again. It's a legacy army that needs to be rebooted with a new focal point.

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

I like the Slaanesh guys and hope Slaaneshi mortals get a full AoS release in that style. Such a shame they're in the starter set with those horrid elves.

I hope they do something good with Kill Team. Bit dull it was just a teaser, but if it's a new starter set with Fayled Ones and Marines in it, it may at least be of interest to me because of the models.

Ebay is your friend .. I got the Kurnothi one there for about £20. When its released separately I might grab another set for conversions for my war band.

I presume they didn't show much else beyond the boxed sets so they have something to show on Warhammer day..
I still think Killteam needs dedicated kits - its a perfect opportunity to introduce new things [side factions or variants for existing factions]. I hate that to build an interesting killteam with variation I have to get 3 kits and spend £90 ..A single set with variants like the Warcry Warbands would get perfect intro kits to try out different factions.

My single greatest hope for 40K is an Underworlds-style series of small warbands (Kill teams if you will...)
A single sprue each of Exodites, Navy / Navis Nobilite, Blood Axe Orks, zoats, Hrud...potentially amazing. Even the ‘regular’ factions could’ve great with interesting posing / armaments in mixed units.

And it’s not like it would cut into 40k sales.
As in people wouldn’t buy them as a cheaper alternative, considering the warbands are a mix of stuff that doesn’t exactly make up a unit.
Can only hope that’s what the new year brings.
I doubt it would be Kill Team SS that needs the customizable Style it has.
But some other game..

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Obviously the unique factions that aren’t armies they could do presets I suppose.
But people like the list building of kill team still

Just caught up on the preview article...

Is it me, or do the Lumineth models look overly cartoony? You could get away with having the Sentinel and the Stoneguard in your normal units, but the other 2? I just cant shake the feeling that they will look massively out of place

Umm warcry bands aren't exactly supposed to be just couple new poses for existing units. And gw sure as hell shouldn't be restricted to just previous units since what we have is like 1/4 or even less of what lumineth should end up finally...

You absolutely 100% do not want that. Underworlds and WarCry are great standalone games, but the porting of their units over to the primary game has been extremely poor.
