Poxwalkers is a good shout.
I was auto thinking marines (hence the DI or ETB, the cheapest most mass produced options as opposed to the box of 7).
But poxies yeah could be.

On the SM Heroes note (as there doesn’t seem to be a thread for them..)
Are they sold out on the site already?

Gathering the Informations.

Poxwalkers is a bit less likely. They try to do something 'iconic' for the factions. It would probably be an easy build Plague Marine.

There're a couple of threads, and it does look like they're sold out. The guess is the first batch was imported from their Japanese partner, and a UK made batch will follow later.

Not surprising, tbh. The death guard models are going for around $20 apiece on ebay, so scalpers are probably buying them in bulk. Seems that people are willing to pay more if they're guaranteed a certain model

When I was in store earlier I pre ordered the full box of heroes.
Whilst in there I found that they had doomstalkers in stock (not available online) so I ended up getting one as I've started a new necron army due to indomitus

How long are they expected to last availability wise?
I’d like to get a £60 voucher for Christmas from the wife (claiming a free coin!) and get these with it.

I had no interest/need for the first two seasons so don’t really remember how long they were about..

Im kinda like that.. I would happily buy 2-3 blind boxes, just to see what I end up with.. Of the 6 models, I only want 4, so, I MIGHT have trade stock to get what I want.. or I just buy one periodically, but if the guy I really want I cannot luck into, ebay is my buddy

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

Dropped into mine yesterday afternoon and didn't manage to pick up one as they were gone in the first hour or so of opening.

I was basically told that they were only given a few boxes so they're trying to spread them out over the month. Which is a shame, but I'm not surprised.

Yeah, I considered making a trip to pick one up as I do want to put together a D&D game very loosely based on AoS in more a Conan/pulp fantasy so I could make use of my AoS models more easily. The free model would have worked well as a PC character or a boss NPC really well. I didn't want to have to 'Black Friday' to have a chance to get it. Particularly, since the closest GW store was being super coy on Facebook if they even had any.

So a remote chance for bit of free plastic just wasn't worth the effort to even bother. Especially dollars-to-donuts making the trip would leave me empty handed save a hard-sell speech on trying to get me to buy a whole box or a start collecting or something. I mean if I going to have to listen to GW sell me a timeshare I want them to ensure me I actually get something before I say no thanks.

Sorry, I am in a better mood than this, but I am feeling pretty cynical towards GW of late.

I got my free mini. I was surprised to find it was pre built. I don't know if they had sisters of slaughter available I got a standard witch elf.

I'm sure GW management might be considering that, in retrospect, the free model policy might have worked better being announced on a store by store basis in person rather than through the community page. Because it clearly went from a "get new people into the game" into a "existingfans want free stuff"

I'm in Scotland, only England are in full lockdown right now, with Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland doing their own thing.

You can still get the free mini if you're starting out, just the push fit marine or sigmarine. These I thought were separate to that new player promo in order to get some footfall in their branches.

Yeah if anything. To edge you towards getting whatever that months thing is.
Broken realms this month for instance.

Interesting point perhaps for the models.

They’re built. But I assume still full of mold lines?

Some of the UK stores appear to be using boxes and parts. I think its going to vary depending on the regional manager's orders to the local mangers and on local managers take on the promotion.

Things like mould lines might vary depending on the local scene - eg someone in a high volume area who has to build them might well only get the clip points cleaned off and not do all the mould lines; meanwhile someone with a much smaller turnover of customers and walk-in-randoms might well do more cleaning if they've the time.

Heck I suspect right now with no gaming and no demo games and no painting in-store and the general highstreet attitude, there's more than a few managers who, when the store is open, have more free time than normal.
