Not necessarily Necron-specific, but I feel GW has gone a bit overboard with the ObSec stuff.

Necrons get access to army-wide ObSec / double-ObSec. Marines now have Rites of War to get ObSec BladeGuard and whatnot.

If they roll out that idea to all 9th ed. books, the entire rule becomes a bit pointless IMO. If they change "design-philosophy" again a couple of books down the road and become more stingy again with the idea, it could really leave a few armies hanging.

Guy in global group pretty much predicted "super-obsec" when the everything's obsec necron dynasty was leaked. Sure enough marine codex and necrons(less good though) got shut down obsec so in essence they can get obsec that's better than opponents obsec

Anybody being having success with the non-Technomancer Crypteks or with Lokust Lords?

Chronomancers are unquestionably the best Cryptek type in the Codex.

For sure. It's hard not to justify at least one of each. I want to bring 2 Chrono and 1 Techno optimally but points is the issue. The entropic lance is actually a really baller shooting attack too. Especially great as Szarekhan as you can reroll the wound. The technomancer is also really good though. Gives you a modle back per turn which can pay for himself plus has 2 really good wargear options. He is a good repair bot and also a great canoptec buffer with ether wargear option. For the archana he has some exclusive options too which are quite good.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Yeah, Pariahs are missing.
That's a pity.

For real, this was the beginning of the end of 40k for me, at least for a while. In a game where there is such a HUGE focus on the psychic phase, Necrons get shafted yet again for that phase. No psychic powers (which makes sense, don't get me wrong) and no meaningful way to prevent wounds in the psychic phase that RP doesn't work against. Gloom prism on a single non FW model (which can only be used ONCE PER UNIT not model with the prism), or a 400+ point model, don't do me any favors.

The real sticking point, for me at least, was the fact that the last Psychic Awakening book in 8th edition, and the only one featuring Necrons, was called fricking PARIAH AND DIDN'T HAVE PARIAH'S!!!! I get that they already had Necrons lined up as the first 9th edition codex, but FFS, poor form GW, frack you!

Yeah, Pariahs were old fluff from when C’Tan had a Master Plan. Demoting them also demoted their schemes.
