Assault Intercessors? Tartoros Terminators? Regular Terminators? What is the cheapest box to get appropriately sizes Astartes Powerfists? The Assault intercessors show one on a model on the box, but the sprus don't show one in the box, so....Thinking Tartoros Terminators, because they also get the weird storm bolters as well?

My local independent store did have a great set of converted Custodes Guard with Lightning Claws using Assault Terminator arms so I would go with one of the 2 Relic Terminator kits.

You could also use a combination of the Heavy Flamer and Autocannon to make firepikes too

Tartaros terminators are probably your best bet as you suggested. They get power fists for both hands, and the lightning claws just glue on to the power fists.

Have you checked Pop Goes the Monkey on Shapeways? Ther is a large market for customized and additional items to kitbash via 3d printing. It's what I used for Eldar Shining Spears; easy arm swaps.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

I've been down this road and I have a warning:

Tartaros terminator fists will work for Guardian sized Custodes, but they look more than a tad small on Custodes Terminators.

When it comes to Custodes terminators I'd look for a 3D printed one, or wait for a lucky ebay find for Aquilon fists.

The only plastic fists that might be the right size are Centurion parts, but that might not have the right look for you.

While I can't totally vouch for their scale, I think Scibor might have some power fist looking bits that are slightly larger than 40k-scale marine terminator fists.

Is or was there ever a FW bits retail market?

It's to the right of the two chainswords, around the middle of the sprue:

Parts 83, 84 and 85.

Yes, GW made a three-part power fist.

Thank you, I thought that was a boot or leg armor, with an attached foot, now I see with the fingers. What an odd choice of design. What was wrong with the old PF? Was it not sized to primaris?

If you’ve assembled one, and compared it to the compromise in detailing that is the one-part fist, you’ll see why.

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"

The Imperial Fist upgrade kit has 2 of them, just have to file off the IF symbol.
