Going by the crudeness/roughness of the highlighting, that looks to me like a rather small tail that's been significantly magnified. It does look like a tyranid tail, but it's far too small to be the right scale for the Red Terror, IMO.

Gaunts really needs to be redone, and genestealers also. These kits are really showing their age

Though it does happen like Ad Mech for instance. There’s a lot more factions that just got a character model and nothing else..

Put it next to a ravener tail. It isn't that small.

Though really, adjusting the scale of the Red Terror wouldn't go amiss. The current model is rather much for its 40mm base, but not so big it needs to be on 50. A 60mm base would swamp the model (just because its so vertically aligned)

Seems like CE are an inconvenience for GW. Was expecting to see the others aspect warriors after the banshees, but it seems that they won't be remade anytime soon, if ever

I wouldn't read too much into that. IIRC the recent major Necrons update only had a single rumour engine picture, which was a character that was released with Psychic Awakening before 9E. The massive multi-month Space Marines update only had like 2 pics. A fair proportion of Rumour engine pictures tend to be small, one-off releases like PA characters or models for things like Cursed City and Underworlds.

If GW wanted to hide a major release they definitely can.

Indeed, the rumour engine is very selective and tightly controlled, they definitely don't show everything that is in the pipeline.

And? Necrons had close to zero. Last eight units/characters from Eldar/DE factions had what, all of two RE pictures? Cow Elves and Vampires also had close to nothing, most units had nothing in RE and only shown up in direct leaks. Really, I wish GW had rule of at least 1 rumor picture for any new unit but funnily enough some have 3-4 and most have nothing...

Most of what you said is true, but vampires have had a ton of rumor engines. Sure, they've been divided up amongst Underworld teams and the villains of Cursed City, but even then, there are still clearly vampiric rumor engines that haven't been solved yet (most likely for Soulblights)

Craftworld did get Jain Zarr hair as rumor engine once, I think. But yeah, lack of rumor engine doesn't mean no faction update.

I'm definitely out of the loop. What's the deal with this supposed insect race? Is it because we have one rumor engine of weird buggos hatching out of an egg? I know people theorized we were getting some big bug/scorpion thing, but that picture turned out to be Be'lakor's tail, so...

I do wonder what species is the first one, kinda looks like a baby ambull, although ambulls have larvae, not babies.

There’s some snippets of background lore for Beastgrave about the Silent People which are an insectoid race who may have created the Beastgrave or settled there or something. People seem pretty certain we’ll get an army of them, I’m not convinced myself, not any time soon anyway. Just seems like worldbuilding to me.
