Not sure why bother teasing a name from the hundreds of place names made with a random word generator and barfed onto the randomly squiggled maps nobody has any emotional connection to...

seems similar to the shield the hobgoblin (or whatever they will be called) is using in the CGI pic of it fighting the stormcast.

Funny how they keep teasing the new greenskins but are ignoring the new Stormcast. Surely there is room for a peak at them too!

The big reveal is this Saturday, right? These rumour pictures aren't that exciting but l'm hoping the actual models won't disappoint.

Is it weird for my favourites to be Dwarfs and Greenskins but not wanting 3 different armies of each?

If Hobgoblins are coming back, I'd much rather them be part of a Chaos Dwarf faction but that's wishing big.

It's pretty close in terms of quality to the totem on Kragnos base.

Plus, the greenskin in the trailer had a back banner that was basically antlers (ie, Kragnos horns.)

Maybe the lore is these orruks were too weedy for Gorkamorka, so now they worship Kragnos instead?

It makes sense with the way GW goes about revealing the box contents. I mean, I get what you're saying, but we've already seen more than just teasers of the Sigmarines, so even with another week of rumor engines for the greenskins we have a far clearer idea of what we can look forward to on the Sigmarine side.

Its just the same style second hand gnarly metalworks over again.

I too am unexcited by the myriad of generic bad workmanship weapons that apparently all belong to something that's either a stretched out goblin or a squeezed up orc.

It's really hard to tease a new race without showing us the look of the new race, have some sympathy for the poor photographers

I agree, they should have mixed it up with some feet, bases, Stormcast, terrain (if there is any in the box) etc.

I think this sums it up; honestly if we knew this stuff was going to be for Fimir i think there would be a TON of excitements by young and old, veteran and novice, lore-fiend and power gamer alike just because of the novelty of the design.

Lanky orcs cribbed from Tolkien (a sign they aren't gonna renew the license? You heard the baseless speculation here first!) isnt really exciting except maybe for what it'll add to peoples bitz-boxes for shields and weapons.

I hope I'm wrong and they turn out cool, but for the moment I'm just gonna look forward to whenever the next reveal for warcry and the eventual release of what I suspect to be chaos marauders comes out.

(And pray that someone at the studio loves the Fimir)

All of these visions of the beast rumour engines are for the 3rd Ed starter box villain faction. So it’ll be some sort of flail weapon for some new greenskinz.

In spirit, yes, but since it's AoS it'll be a swamp skiff chariot thing sporting the wreckin' ball.

Also, Bog Gobs is a better name than Hobgobs.

I do however wonder if the Cruel Boyz thing is more of a specific unit name, rather than the army?

I wonder if the "new" greenskins are taking some style cues from the older metals.

If you look at the all metal range from pre 4th ed, the Orcs are quite gangly but with some decent if rough armour, weapons and gear.

Some of the older metal guys have spikey hats similar to the style of the guy in the animation and some of the Black Orcs have quite exciting shield designs that echo this newer Kragnos style.

Not saying they will be 1:1 at all, but perhaps that's where this aesthetic is drawing from.

Not quite the updated version of the Orcs and Common Goblins (eg Steppes Mountain wolfboys) I was expecting, but still a nod to their past and one that echoes some of the weirder bodytypes that Orcs and Goblins have had over the years.

I guess we find out in a few days.

I'm just hoping they're slightly goofier orcs, ironjawz are just too dull, They feel more like a khorne faction tbh.

Not a bad guess in my opinion. GW has gone back to the 80s and 90s for inspiration for a fair number of models over the last decade.

Wish they'd bring back Chaos Ogres shaped like they were 20 years ago. Loved those models.

LOL I have been thinking the same thing. I mean Warhammer fest was errrrr to much hype not much content and I hope Im very wrong here and that the box is amazing and the new race has bags of coolness...but on the other hand just playing safe I guess.
