I'd be surprised if the Nighthaunt were getting much new, but maybe another Underworlds unit?
It looks quite like it would have belonged in Cursed City to me, do we think there are still some of the models that were planned to be for the expansions getting punted to the AOS Vampires instead? I still think there's going to be another wave there like there was for Lumineth.

It's a Nighthaunt lantern 1000%, however none of the existing ones are banged up at all so this is probably something other than a main army model.

Cautious reminder: there’s technically nothing stopping them putting W:tOW stuff in the Rumour Engine. Technically.
That said, while it has the undead vibe, is there anything in the rules of the Realms that prevents non-undead humans from living in Shyish? I mean there are normal humans living in the other Realms despite the whole “elemental plane” vibe they’ve got going on.
In actual fact we know there’s not: Cursed City was set there, right on the edge of the Nadir, even. So what about a mortal faction living in the land of the dead?

Except for the fact it would have medieval German styling, not high fantasy AoS one?
As for humans, there are a tons of mortals living in Shyish, even though it's pretty gakky life as they tend to be treated like cattle by all undead factions. There are even several Sigmar holdings, protected both by human infantry regiments and Stormcast.

Eh, not exactly, his Lantern was stuck on a long pole, and not hanging from it. This one looks a good bit fancier too.

Okay, this might be a very wild and outlandish speculation, but what if it's a stern lantern from the same ship as the very death-looking ship bow rumour engine fom a while back? Like the thing on the attached image, but hanging from a pole attached to the back of the ship.

Well the swirly ornaments *are* very similar? Also it would be a really GW thing to do, introduce a maritime undead sub-faction of Nighthaunt instead of finally doing Vampirates, LOL

Looks too small for a Chaos Knight, besides, we already have one. Perhaps it's a Chaos Armiger?

Are Armigers (War Dogs for Chaos) not Knights?
The thus-far impeccable rumours said there was a new Chaos Knight coming with their codex:
CSM: Plenty of new kits for 9th Edition.
Regular Possessed,
Bikers,
Chosen,
Warpsmith,
Cultists (BSF-style),
Renegade Guard (BSF-style),
human mutants,
possessed humans (the latter two are monstrously horrible. Think of the Greater Possessed but cranked up to 11),
cultist standard bearer (character),
cultist character with bodyguards.
Chaos Knights: New Knight variant with Codex

If they were Knights, they would be called Knight Armigers, now wouldn't they?

I suppose they would be, yes. If only we had something like the Imperial Knight codex to help us out:
A Knight is a fearsome opponent. Whether it be a swift Armiger, a stalwart Questor...
The lighter Armiger-class Knights
Armiger pilots don the Helm Mechanicus, a device that allows them to control their Knight
raiding duties often fall to the lighter Armiger-class Knights
Though they are the lightest class of Imperial Knight regularly deployed to the battlefields of the 41st Millennium, each Armiger is still an imposing war engine
Unusually for Knights, Armigers are

The scale/proportions look more spindly to me to be anything large like a 40k knight. Might go with the hammer and be part of the warp smith though ..
